Republican shenanigans on the floor of the house |
|
Gawddamn fing GOP bastards! They are voting on Justice and state spending today and Sanders put in amendment that would dis-allow the govt to get library or bookstore records Many speakers got up to oppose the amend but many got up to support it including Ron Paul (R) who is really a libertarian. So they vote and it's 213 for and 210 against, when the chair sees it's going to get approved they hold the voting open until a few spineless re pubs changed their votes to no so it was tied at 210 to 210, the whole measure gets dismissed. BTW there were 4 Dem's who voted with the Pubs but i don't know which ones. There were loud audible boos from the Dem's when the chair dismissed it.

1. While the party focus is on President & Senate |

We little people really need to be out working our rears off on the House election. If you live in a safe district, then apply the efforts on weekends in another district near you if you can.

2. Crap, so they did vote today and it was shot down by dirty tricks |
|
The discussion this morning was great to hear, or at least the Democrats side was.
Wonder who voted against it?

4. Good. Let them explain their votes to their constituents. |
|
Every damned Congressman runs every two years, so every one of these guys can lose.
I think Democrats could make some pretty damning attack ads with this one vote.

5. Reminds me of the Medicare bill....... |
|
I stayed up until 2:00am CST to make sure the bill wouldn't pass. I did go to bed thinking this is in the bag only 3-4 votes to go and I'll be d*mnd, when I woke up the thing passed by like one vote!!! I watched on C-SPAN for at least 7 hours, (I know I need a life) but I just could not believe it passed. Same tactics as shown today, hold the vote open long enough to change peoples minds, by arm twisting and other reasons. Such swine.

should be nailed under the Federal racketeer law for illegal use of power.
They kept the vote open long enough for him to threaten who knows what to get 2 people to change their vote.

America is lost under these cheney scumbags.
His karma suks and will catch up to him one day.
