Hot new fashion trend: liberal patriotism
Edited on Thu Jul-08-04 05:21 PM by Melodybe
I just ordered my American flag t-shirt, and I will wear it with pride and the words of Jefferson, Lincoln, and MLK will be in my heart.

It is time to take back our flag and show those bastards what it really means to be a patriotic American.

1. GOD DAMNED STRAIGHT!
Me and many other DU Vets and others have been doing this sort of thing for quite some time.

We are going to remind people that Liberals ARE Patriotic and we are going to revive the ancient apellation of "Fighting Liberal".

6. Well, here is my take...
On any repuke, frother or freeper who deigns to question my patriotism:

I am a proud bleeding-heart liberal. I also have an extensive background in martial arts. I would be happy to share the bleeding part with anyone who questions my patriotism, in the spirit of comity and spririted political dialogue.

Shorter version: I will slap the nits offn' they haids.

2. My mama always said to keep mine as it would be
back in fashion again someday. I love being stylish. But to me, liberal patriotism is just classic good sense way to live- not a trend at all.

3. It was great to see all those flags a'waving in the Democratic crowd
when Kerry announced his choice for VP.

A sea of red white and blue!

4. I wore my American flag t shirt on the 4th and got a few smiles
from conservative looking folks. I thought - "if only you knew my politics you probably wouldn't be looking at me so sweetly!"

5. Liberal patriotism is not a trend, it is an
eternal truth.

Right-wing intolerance and defilement of the environment is anti-American.

7. THAT'S THE SPIRIT

B-) I hope I started this trend .
Because I grabbed my patriotism after the
selection of bush with my first anti- bush
T-Shirt in Feb. 2001.

"American Patriots Don't Get Over The Theft Of The Presidency"

My Yard has been adorned with Yellow Ribbons and Flags
for a long time .

I even painted my Mailbox white with blue and red stars.

I have proud to be American on my car as well as
more Ribbons .

But included in all this Patriotic adornment
I've had IMPEACH BUSH , John Kerry for President
and many other pro Constitution anti bush stuff.

I refuse to allow anyone to tell me how to be a
Patriot . I feel in my Heart and won't be swayed .

Yesterday when leaving F9/11, I saw a guy wearing a denim jacket with the flag on the back.

As soon as my Kerry bumpersticker arrives, I'm getting a flag decal and slapping it on my car next to Kerry 2004.

9. I remember when we had a........
thread here about: do you have a flag in your yard? It was right after Sept 11,2001. A lot of us did and a lot of us had one on our car. It was an interesting thread.

10. Let's call it FASHION PASSION.

At the Kerry/Edwards Rally in Dayton yesterday, I noticed at least a dozen young women, decked out in black tank tops with LIBERAL DEMOCRAT emblazoned, in pink embroidery. They were gorgeous, sexy, and passionate.

Fashion kicks ASS. :D
