On the local news tonite, there was a plea for all the items that are being collected to send to the troops in Iraq. After all the items were read off, the news guy said that he knew it was expensive, but the public should also send 2-way radios, because the standard issue radios were not working. What's up with this, we now have to supply the troops with the items that the Pentagon should be providing??? Oh, that local news was in Lafayette, LA.

Plus, there were collections for dog/cat flea collars for the troops to wear around the tops of their boots to keep the fleas off. At least when I was in the Army 15 years ago they did supply us with insect repellent.

You can pick them up on any scanner (family channel) or CB (channel 14)
That's just plain crazy.
