GOP N.C. Candidate Uses 9/11 in Ads
RALEIGH, N.C. - A candidate seeking the Republican gubernatorial nomination in North Carolina is running an ad that attempts to link the Democratic incumbent to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The television ad for state Sen. Fern Shubert, one of six Republicans looking to run against Gov. Mike Easley in the November general election, shows the hijacked airliners slamming into the World Trade Center, with a voiceover by the father of a man who died in the 2001 attacks.

"Within days after 9/11, Mike Easley signed a law that made it easier for terrorists, illegal aliens, drunk drivers and everyone except law-abiding citizens to get drivers licenses," says Peter Gadiel, a member of the group 9/11 Families for a Secure America.

1. I don't think they'll get anywhere
there are too many of them to be distinguishable from each other, much less Gov. Easley.

4. hey, it worked for Saxby Chambliss on Max Cleland....
...of course, it was one of the dirtiest moves ever in American politics, but it worked.....fuckers impugned Max Cleland's patriotism. I am still filled with rage over that one....

5. Boy those drunk drivers
They must be terrorists. What was he thinking? For the record, I am not advocating drunk driving, just wondering how it can be equated with terrorism.
