Lemme see if I got this straight
Some guy from Niger (who?)
dreams up the uranium hoax on his xerox machine.
He signs the doc with the name of a Niger official
who hasn't been in the govt for years.
He takes the doc to somebody in the Italian govt.
The Italian guy buys it.
The Italian govt gives the doc to the British & US govts
and the rest ios history in the rewriting.

OK, so why didnt the guy in the Italian govt
GOOGLE the name signed on the doc to discover the
guy hadnt been in the Niger govt for years?
Why didnt any British or American officials do the same?
"Oh, this guy aint been in govt for years.
It's a forgery. Next!"
When was the doc faked & sold to the Italians?
Who is the guy who forged it?
Anybody interview this guy?
Who is the Italian who bought it?

This may all be after the fact stuff but the entire thing
seems so utterly Alice in Wonderland preposterous
from the get-go that you have to wonder how it ever
got out of the box. Is it that these guys are so
Olympusally arrogant that they think they can get away
with anything? I guess after you steal an election and
get away with it, you think you are invincible.

1. why isn't anyone asking
why this forgery was made in the first place? Whom would it benefit? Certainly not the BFEE.

8. Why should the guy in the Italian government bother?
He's going to give it to the Brits and the Americans. The question is: why didn't the Brits and/or Americans Google it? The likely answer: they did, they knew it was a forgery, but it was a convenient forgery for their purposes. So, the new question: why didn't they realize that someone would Google it? Well, arrogance can make one blind to the consequences, and sometimes get one past them. It's still touch-and-go on that one.
