Well, folks.. it's time to shame the media into doing their job again.

I've noticed lately that casualty reports from Iraq and Afghanistan are not even being bothered to be reported by the media whores, especially the cable variety.

So... .fire up those emails and phones. I'll be doing my round of phone calls tomorrow.

You know, Karl Rove said he didn't want to see any casualties on the news after March. Well, I guess just NOT REPORTING casualties is one way to do it.

How patriotic.

1. 1000 will be "news"
I think when the sad, no sickening, milestone of 1000 is reached, it will make the news. Then the people will collectively say 'when did this happen? where was the media?' This could very well backfire on the rw, although I would rather have all those kids back.

2. I also wish someone would explain to me....
why we had to stare at one flag-draped coffin (Reagan's) for an entire week, but can't catch a glimpse of a fallens soldier's because it's deemed too disturbing....
that really frosts me.

5. here's the straight skinny...
we had to stare at reagan's coffin because it Bush thought he could get a positive poll push from it, whereas he KNOWS if the american people see the butcher's bill, they're going to start getting properly upset.

This country, unfortunately, learned from vietnam. Not how to win wars, but rather how to quell opposition to wars.

8. um...thanks for the welcome. :)
My question at the time of the coffin bruehaha was that the PENTAGON was taking pictures of the coffins, but with no intention of releasing them or sharing them with the family....wtf? What were they going to use those photos for?

no one ever answered that question.

9. I'm not quite sure what purposes they had in taking the photos.
With these sick repukes, it could be he was going to try to use them in his campaign, the patriot stuff, heros that fought and died for our country, let clown in chief continue with his mission so their lives weren't in vein. That type of crap.

These guys have no soul. Whatever they wanted with them, it was purely selfish and political.
