1. Damn, the media is on this one ... it's about time
NPR mentioned the political motivation of the latest 'Alert'. It is so transparently obvious to all of us; I think the press is waking up a bit.

6. Well, it is all Michael Moore's fault.
He said Shrub lied a lot. And his anti-American screed has brainwashed the people away from our dear leader.

It's sedition I tells ya.

Get a double-X orange Gitmo suit ready for the "terra-ist from Flint".

8. I agree. The media response to stories like this
Will demonstrate whether F911 has made a difference.

Exploding pens, terrorist cows, Tappahannock/Rappahannock Mal-Wart. If the media puts the current "threat" in this paradigm, I'll know they have learned their lesson.

Of course, if it turns out that there IS a "terrorist" attack on or near election day, this LIHOPer will become a MIHOPer. And I don't think I'm alone.

9. Actually, I think Moore hit a nerve with the American media...
...and if they start getting a clue and do their duty, Moore should add a Nobel Prize to the Palm d'Or.

10. Of course, John Edwards (and Kerry) were getting too much press.
Had to get them off the front page!

Terra! Terra! Terra!

11. No More Fear!
I promised myself, as I sat in the dark, watching "Fahrenheit 9/11" (and listened to Michael Moore list the ridiculous ways in which the Bush Admin. strives to keep us afraid of 'terra' -- eeeeek!) that I would not listen to this terra-alert crap anymore. I refuse to let them make me afraid. I refuse to let the most worthless public servant on earth -- Tom Ridge -- scare me with his duct tape and his Crayola Box of Terror.

Dick can play with himself in the bunker if he wants. I'm going about my business.

And part of my business is to get ready to take to the streets if the BFEE tries to cancel the election because of terra.

12. Oh, I'm not scared of "al-Qaida," whatever it is ...
... but I'm getting increasingly freakin' terrified of what Bush and his band of treasonous thugs will do in their desperate attempt to hang on to power.

And that's not the kind of fear they want us to have, but it's fear nonetheless, and it continues to take a huge emotional toll on me.

13. I'm scared of egomaniacal rich boys who think we're toys.
And if I hear a plane or a helicopter overhead, I still stop, almost stop breathing, till it passes.

And I can't watch buildings being blown up in the movies. Not anymore. I just can't.

But Ridge and his idiot alerts? Please.

15. did they mention
the exploding beer coolers?

I guess by having no beer coolers explode over the holidays shows that the Homeland Security Forcesare ever diligent at preventing terrorists across America from setting off remote controlled beer cooler bombs, so in fact they should be applauded as the patriotic heroes they are! :silly:
