Somebody needs to remind the media whores about Madrid--Spanish election
Aznar lost because he LIED about the Madrid bombing (tried to exploit it for political gain by blaming it on the Basques)--not because the Spanish electorate went soft against terror. Let that be a lesson to the Lying Chimp!

1. isn't it frustrating to hear that manipulation of the Spanish election...
not that I'm an aficionado of Iberian politics, but I've read that the Aznar government was going down before the Madrid bombing...now we have these not so subtle allusions to "terror on elections just like Madrid"....aghhhh.

2. It's an absurd concept anyway
If al Qaeda struck in the US it would be to derail the ascent of Kerry not the Presidency of Bush. The worst thing for the terrorists right now would be if Bush was voted out of office. All of the sudden, their focus of hatred would shift, and they would no longer reap the benefits of aggressive action in the middle East. THAT is what people should get out of this. Al Qaeda wants to derail democracy.

5. Also Spain has not been attacked again
It is now a safer place. If we want America to be a safer place we need to vote our criminals out also.
