Oops! Pentagon Say Bush Records of Service Were Destroyed
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/07/09/politics/campaign/09records.html

HOUSTON, July 8 - Military records that could help establish President Bush's whereabouts during his disputed service in the Texas Air National Guard more than 30 years ago have been inadvertently destroyed, according to the Pentagon.

It said the payroll records of "numerous service members," including former First Lt. Bush, had been ruined in 1996 and 1997 by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service during a project to salvage deteriorating microfilm. No back-up paper copies could be found, it added in notices dated June 25.

The destroyed records cover three months of a period in 1972 and 1973 when Mr. Bush's claims of service in Alabama are in question.

9. Isn't that special.
I guess they haven't realized it yet, but everyone except the * faithful is getting pretty sick of all this crap. They can't pull the wool over everyone's eyes forever.

13. This must have been when Bush was bitten by a radioactive spider
For three months, Bush was actually able to shoot super-strong spider webs from his wrists, and he could even walk on walls. He even had strength enough to stop a speeding elevated train. In this relatively short amount of time, he saved the lives of countless Americans. Too bad the records of all of these amazing exploits are destroyed.

14. THE PENTAGON LOST THE MILITARY RECORDS OF THE SON OF A PRESIDENT?
That's a big pile of steaming Bushshit. They cannot be serious about this. Bush Sr. was a Congressman when Bush Jr. "served." Surely those records would have been kept in a safe place. Oh that really hacks me off. Can you imagine if this happened to someone like.... CLINTON??? It would be Ken Starr time.

19. Purely a coincidence. Now what about the SEC records ...
... of Bush's insider trade at Harken?

I'm sure they are fine. But maybe Bush should allow them to be released so copies can be made.

Otherwise, with these military records ending up destroyed and all, people might think he had something to hide.
