Corrupt NYT's screaming headline right now
Bin Laden Is Said to Be Organizing for a U.S. Attack

http://www.nytimes.com/

These corrupt paper is once again playing right into Rove's hands. Do they think Americans are really that stupid? I know, 40% of Americans are (Bush's approval rating).

9. Snarf! And for YEARS before 911!

Sorry I don't know how many years exactly. I do know that I read an article long ago in "The Atlantic" about Osama, "a threat most Americans are completely unaware of," is how I believe they phrased it. I remember discussion of problems in intelligence gathering. I'd estimate that article was published at least ten years ago.

3. I think people are becoming increasingly cynical
Edited on Thu Jul-08-04 11:26 PM by sandraj
about these alerts, based on the emails flooding CNN today, and Lou Dobbs' poll:

What do you think is behind the latest terror warning?

New intelligence 3% 249 votes

Ongoing threat 4% 299 votes

Playing politics 93% 7449 votes
Total: 7997 votes

I predict that over the next couple of months, Kerry and Edwards will develop a huge support base (if not already), and the media will be forced to stop its whoring because no one is listening to the BS anymore. The screaming headlines give validity to the alerts. If more and more people ignore the screaming headlines, it translates into less and less money for the media companies: fewer eyeballs = a drop in advertising. Oops, better feature stories people actually want to read and hear.

We can count the days until the election now. That is going to energize a lot of people, terror alerts or not. I predict that the momentum is going to run roughshod over the fearmongering.

4. which makes me very scared.
when Rove realizes these alerts no longer work, he'll plan something really big (if he hasn't already) and tons of Americans will lose their lives. The Bush Crime Family has proved time and time again that they are capable of anything, they have little regard for human life and will do anything, ANYTHING, to stay in power.

5. Is it planned for 7/26-29?
That's sure going to piss off a lot of people, not to mention the survivors.

Bush Commits TREASON for a July Surprise

From an email by Bob Fertik of Democrats.com;

Bush Commits TREASON for a July Surprise - Ignoring Nuclear Terror in
Return for Osama's Head During the Democratic Convention

Bush knows he will lose in November unless he captures Osama - or perhaps Ayman Al Zawahiri or Mullah Omar. In an explosive story, The New Republic quotes Pakistani officials who say Bush is pressuring them to deliver one of these "high-value targets" (HVT) before November - best of all, at the height of the Democratic convention. As a carrot, "Powell pointedly refused to criticize Musharraf for pardoning nuclear physicist A.Q. Khan--who, the previous month, had admitted exporting nuclear secrets to Iran, North Korea, and Libya - declaring Khan's transgressions an 'internal Pakistani issue.' In addition, the administration is pushing a five-year, $3 billion aid package for Pakistan through Congress over Democratic concerns about the country's proliferation of nuclear technology and lack of democratic reform." Folks, this is TREASON - and it's time for Democrats to start screaming!

10. To hear Republicans tell it, Clinton did NOTHING

against terrorism.

They conveniently forget the guy who was arrested at the Canadian border in1999, attempting to smuggle in explosives for a "millenium" bombing, thwarted because Clinton had law enforcement looking for such perps.

They conveniently forget that the perps from the first WTC bombing were hauled in during the Clinton years, that McVeigh and Nichols were caught after Oklahoma City, that Clinton attempted to get Bin Laden, dead or alive.

They still make their snide comments about bombs that missed Osama, though their hero GW has done no better in the get-Osama game, despite starting two wars, getting thousands killed, and having troops on the ground in the same region of Afghanistan where Osama was hiding.

They are truly deluded if they believe such things, truly dishonest if they know better and say them anyway..

11. Yet, they'll prop up Clinton
to say even Clinton thought there were WMD. This administration has thrown so much shit on the wall and watched to see what sticks that their base can't figure out which way to turn.

Hey! Republicans really are conservationists! They recycle shit all the time! LOL
