Why the comparison to Quayle?

Some are trying to compare Kerry to papa Bush in selecting a "fresh-faced" young senator, but then adding the Quayle had more years in the sentate... duh! Quayle was not a candidate in the primaries, criss crossing the country, meeting voters, listening, presenting his own ideas on many issues.

When papa Bush selected Quayle, everyone's reaction was Dan who? There certainly was no need to introduce John Edwards to anyone.

in order to diminish his stature. They should compare him to Lincoln, dedicated lawyer, excellent speaker, family man, and humble beginnings.
