Am I The Only One Who Doesn't Like John Kerry's Tie Selections?
Color me a fool for focusing on this, but I kinda have a thing for shirt/tie combinations.

And as much as I love Kerry, I just think he can do a lot better job with his campaign trail attire.

John Edwards is a sharp dresser. I like his white shirts and solid color ties.

Kerry seems to prefer patterns and pastel colors. Which is cool, I guess, if that's your thing. But I don't think a guy running for president, trying to convey a sense of strength and power - should be dressing like a history professor or pediatrician.

Can someone in the Kerry camp please hand him a solid red, blue or pink tie. And give him a white shirt.

Please?

2. Pastel ties?
Bastard!

He's just stabbed the Solid Color Americans in the back!

That does it!

I'm voting for NADER!

And the Democrats will have to EARN my vote, one tie at a time!

Harrumpf!

6. me neither, but
The way a candidate looks is important, as I'm sure everyone knows.

I'm not saying Kerry doesn't look "manly" or whatever term you'd like to use. Just that he could look sharper with a solid color tie.

Call it frivilous if you want, but I have no doubt people will be discussing this at some point as the campaign rolls on.

11. not really
I could care less what the sign looks like. I do care how our candidate presents himself though.

Dismiss this as frivilous if you want, but campaigns have been won or lost on less frivilous things.

14. he won most of his elections on days he wore the pastel ties
i don't see what the complaint is. he has been wearing those ties for along time and it sur ehasn't hurt him. maybe you don't like the ties, but there is nothing to show it's hurting his image. in fact i think it makes him appear in a more positive way since he doesn't worry about such things .

17. THat's true
I remember the whole fuss over the "earth tones" that Gore wore.

However, in this election I don't see that as being as important this year. There are simply bigger things people are worried about. The last election was held during a time of relative peace and economic prosperity so people could afford to and did vote on stupid things.

Granted, many people will do that this time as well, but I don't think it will be enough to change the election.

15. i have no problem with him wearing ties that he likes
I just wish he would include in his wardrobe a few "power" ties to wear on special occasions - like when he announced Edwards as his VP.

Just throw one or two solid red or blues into the mix and everything will be koshur.
