Question for Voting Experts - Help me do the most effective thing. |
|
Hi Gang!
I've started a local grass roots campaign for Anybody but Bush, and thankfully, it's getting some traction.
However, some of the folks that are registering are asking me a question that I can't answer.
Is it just as effective, safe, or otherwise okay to vote via absentee ballot as it is to vote at the polls.
I realize that BBV is an issue, but is there any advantage or restriction to voting with an Absentee Ballot?
Thanks in Advance!
Game On.

1. depends on your state. In AZ it's a good option because SO MANY |
|
use them. In some other states they will only count them if the election is "close" and that judgment will vary depending on the state.
If I were you, I'd call my county election board and ask them their procedure.

3. I'm no expert, but I just saw a post by Bev on this..... |
|
and she was saying that absentee ballots *are* counted always....... it's *provisional* ballots that are only counted if it's "close".
There is a difference between absentee and provisional.
It would be helpful if there was some real definitive info on these issues on a website somewhere, to be referred to.
Orrr........ basic info like this on the home page of *this* site!
(ahem.....)
