2. Here on the Gulf Coast
we get 24/7 "hair on fire" coverage if some African on their west coast dips his toe in the water.

13. One of my old college roomates lives in Surf City, NC.
It seems as if the Hurricane god has had a serious hard-on for that town over the last few seasons.

BE PREPARED. Live in fear. Hurricane Andrew is coming to your town. What crap?

We used to use snow fences to stop show drifts.... why doesn't someone develop a hurricane fence.

7. Yeah, we use our hurricane preparedness kits just as if they
were terrorist preparedness kits.

important papers
5 days worth of water
5 days worth of non perishable foods/canned goods
prescriptions
masking tape (duct tape is hard to get off windows)
flashlights
batteries
battery operated radio/t.v.
candles

We are used to it on the coast.

14. You know, I really don't think so, but that is the kit
Tom Ridge says to keep on hand. I've survived plenty of hurricanes (at a safe distance). I just don't think a terra attack is the same thing. But what do I know -- I must listen to the expert, I must obey, I must conform.....
