FOX goes to War
Got this off Atrios... sorry if it's a dupe. Maybe the cable networks will start outing each other.

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX FRI JULY 09, 2004 17:05:38 ET XXXXX

CABLE WAR: FOX NEWS VOWS TOP FIGHT BACK AGAINST RIVALS WHO TOUT DOCUMENTARY

**Exclusive**

A new documentary claiming to show Republican bias at FOX NEWS will debut in New York City on Monday. But FOX NEWS executives are preparing to hit back hard -- if rivals self-servingly hype the film!

The DRUDGE REPORT has learned that FOX NEWS executives are lining up a parade of FOX NEWS employees who formerly worked at CNN & MSNBC and have been downloading information on how editorial decisions are made at these networks, including the agenda for how stories are supposed to be covered.

A senior FOX NEWS executive tells DRUDGE: "We have enough ammunition to nail both MSNBC & CNN." Sources say FOX is prepared to go public with these accounts if necessary.

25. But they don't claim to be "fair and balanced." FOX does.
Murdoch is the neocon media mogul. Part of the agenda he has already accomplished and that is to control the media and the brainwashing of emptyheads.

20. Oh, you know they will get the lawyers involved. Sludge is now
reporting the following'

"The doc makers have gone the Michael Moore route, sources tell DRUDGE, and are using material apparently grabbed from satellite feeds -- material that was not seen over FOX NEWS air!

One on those "intercepted" feeds has FOX reporter Carl Cameron chatting off-air with Bush during the last campaign, a source claims.

The suit against Franken was laughed out of court so it isn't like they require a valid claim. Damn frivolous lawsuits! How do their slimy trial lawyers make them file those frivolous lawsuits that are destroying the country?!

9. I would like to know what all of them are telling their employees to do.
I'm afraid MSNBC and CNN will wimp out and ignore the story.

This would all fit well into the next film Moore should do. (I know he is planning on the health care issue but he has had the media BS thrown in his face and it was as dangerous and deceitful as the * Admin). However, I certainly don't want to wait a year or so to hear the information.

19. This should polarize things...
It'll be nice to finally see how the sham in the media works, with the left-leaning reporters ('cause they're in the trenches, have access to the facts and see what's REALLY going on.), and the very right-leaning media moguls(' cause they're cozy with the administration and can manipulate reporters and content at will.)

Can't wait to see this fly.

21. Oh, is "Every does it" now a justification? Funny, my Mom didn't
care who all did it if she thought it was something I shouldn't do.

Any one else ever hear the classic parental line "So I supposed if everyone else jumped off a cliff, you'd do it too?"

Oh well, this just proves the GOP bias at Fox News. They can't accept any responsibility for their actions or the consequences of them. Just like *.

"It's their fault!" "They made me do it!" "Everyone else does it!"
These are lines you expect to hear from a 5 year old, not a president and a national news organization.

32. I doubt if those former CNN, etc., employees would spill their guts.
They would never be able to work in the industry again, except maybe for Faux.

Also, there are probably confidentiality agreements that were signed when the people started working at CNN and other networks. They probably could be sued.

All in all, sounds like just hype given to Drudge. Or hype that Drudge made up.

34. Yes but Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch are bullies and bullies
use force, threats, fear and intimidation. And no doubt they are hoping it will work on MSNBC & CNN. It didn't work on Keith Olbermann Friday night-that's for sure--he even mentioned that Fox was threatening to "out" the other networks if they aired any info about the documentary, Outfoxed.

38. I think the warning
was probably put out to try to preempt Olberman's piece. He really went after them... absolutely NOTHING in that piece was soft on FAUX, from Dennis Potter calling his cancer "Rupert", to Olberman's own anecdote about his dismissal from FAUX. I really hope they go to war.
