He was amazing!!!! He said that he looked at the pre-war intelligence and had no trouble at all seeing that it wasn't enough to go to war on. He said he even went to the CIA to check it out and the only physical evidence they had was the aluminum tubes, which didn't impress him at all. (paraphrased)

I can't find the transcript of this--it was on Sam Shane's segment. Did anyone else see it? It looked to me like someone told Sam to cut him off when he got dangerously close to making Bush look really, really bad.

That man needs to change parties! Well, every man does, and every woman, but maybe Chafee first. :-)

1. Yep...
...Chafee, and many of us, knew enough to know Bush's war was bullshit. How'd we all get so damned smart?

2. It could just be that we used DU group think instead of DC group think.
And DU group think is a whole different animal. I know when I have posted something even slightly incorrect someone has corrected me within minutes.

I'll bet Chafee doesn't frequent the DC party circuit.

Obviously, I need to include my sarcasm tags more often. I'm more a group hug than a group think kind of person. Oh, and I'll bet Chafee also doesn't spend a lot of time watching cable news. Kinda like Dean and Kucinich and all those other people who seemed to have a better grasp of the "intelligence" than most of Congress, the American people, the White House and the corpowhore press.

4. Lincoln Chafee was the only Republican Senator to vote agains giving
Bush the blank check to do what he will, in his madness, with any country he decided needed to be invaded and attacked and punished or wahtever for his own person gain.

For that, I always will respect Lincoln Chaffee and the people of Rhode Island for electing him.
