What the heck does that stupid word mean? This is the only country in the world where that idiotic word can be bandied about and cause the citizenry to obediently jump through hoops.
The repukes claim to be for less government and less interference into peoples lives - so what does values mean? Are they going to peep into our bedrooms to see if we are obediently practicing the missionary position only, and only for procreation purposes? And these paragons of virtue now going to see inspect our reading preferences (remember that it is only in this very backward western country where books are still being banned (catcher in the rye I believe is still banned).
So when a cretin such as the medieval nitwit we have in the wh comes along bleating about values what the hell is that supposed to mean? Having sex in the white houise is earthshaking, but lying, cheating and sending thousands to their deaths or to a lifetime of living minus several limbs is good?
I will never be able to understand the people in this country - it sometimes feels as if biblical wanderers were suddenly thrust into the 21st century and who still havent a clue about reality!

3. Words have no meaning any more. It's what I think you said, not

what you actually said that's important now. This has been going along for quite a long time. I don't know how it started. But it's amazing how I can lie and get away with it.

For instance - a favorite political response: Did you sleep with that women? response: I am a devoute Christian who would never think of doing that. Or - I'm married and a familiy man.

Did you notice the question wasn't answered? But people automatically assume he didn't sleep with that woman.

Or take values. The repubs are for family values. Everyone is. What are they? Well, you need a husband, wife, and a couple of kids that go to church on a regular basis. So yes, the repubs are for values. The Democrats not voting for the gay marrigage ban would put them against family values because the logic circuits in the average American brain only thinks in slogans, not actual facts.

So the repubs define the term, scream they have it, and make sure the term includes things the Democrats would be against - like banning gay marriages. Or allowing minors to get birth control pills.

It's the American public. And years of politicans destroying the langugage. And people not intersted in words anymore, just in what they think was said.
