Nader vs. Eugene Debs

I've been hearing some dumb arguments about how it's hypocritical for liberals to love Eugene Debs and hate Nader since Debs was also a third party with no chance of winning. As far as I see it, this isn't even comparing apples to oranges, it's like comparing totally different food groups.

I am pretty sure though that Debs did not take right wing contributions, nor did he tell outright lies about the more liberal candidate. Any more reasons why this is totally assinine?

4. I'm not a Nader-hater, but there's no comparison between the 2...

1. Debs led a nationwide strike in the face of Federal Troops.

2. Debs went to prison for protesting WWI. Ran for President on Socialist Party ticket while in prison, and captured well over a million votes.

3. Nader wrote "Unsafe at any Speed". There's a lot I like about Nader, but he's no Debs.
