Jeez, that's like saying:
Everything changed on 9/11...
They hate us for our freedoms...
Saddam gassed his own people...
Saddam was a bad guy...

Seems to me, I was getting good intel from Scott Ritter and Hans Blix.

Seems to me, there was never any justification for pre-emptive war,

Seems to me, there was never anything remotely like an imminent threat.

Seems to me, the "bad" intel was just PNAC propaganda, provided mostly by Judith Miller, listening to Bush crony Chalabi at the NY Crimes. And a few others at the Washington Pox.

2. Remember the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity?

I haven't heard much from these guys lately, but they were interviewed on 'Democracy Now' and other Air America Radio a while back, and were really great, talking about how Cheney pressured the CIA for intelligence that would satisfy the PNAC agenda to invade Iraq.

It was a deep insult to the integrity of the intelligence process that, after the Vice President declared on August 26, 2002 that "we know that Saddam has resumed his efforts to acquire nuclear weapons," the National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) produced during the critical month of September featured a fraudulent conclusion that "most analysts" agreed with Cheney's assertion. This may help explain the anomaly of Cheney's unprecedented "multiple visits" to CIA headquarters at the time, as well as the many reports that CIA and other intelligence analysts were feeling extraordinarily great pressure, accompanied by all manner of intimidation tactics, to concur in that conclusion.
