The source is crappy (NewsMax...sorry, sorry but I had to show this!), and they don't like it. BUT I LOVE IT!!!!!

Elizabeth Edwards Defends Whoopi Raunchfest
The wife of vice presidential hopeful John Edwards is defending Whoopi Goldberg after the potty-mouthed comedienne attacked President Bush with an X-rated monologue at Thursday night's Kerry-Edwards fund-raiser in New York.

Rejecting calls for her husband's campaign to apologize for Goldberg's outburst, Mrs. Edwards said Friday that the anti-Bush tirade was justified.

"A lot of people are going to be angry - there's a lot to be angry about," she told reporters at a fund-raising breakfast on Manhattan's west side. "It's a free country and people are going to express that anger."

Goldberg's raunchy routine, delivered at Radio City Music Hall, included repeated mentions of Bush's name mixed with references to female genitalia, the New York Post said Friday.

one more paragraph at link (the clincher...trying to dirty liberal "values"....)

2. Next time they question the foul language
The response should be "a lot of the people felt it was a long time coming. Whoopi said it, she's glad she said it, and quite frankly she feels a lot better having said it."

Bush set the tone.....I wish we would repeat this often when they come back with this garbage. I wish we had a list of the nonsense he says too.

7. I agree. People are angry and they are voicing their opinion.
I saw that today on Hardball.

Bush and his idiots don't have anything else to talk about than Hollywood saying what a lot of us think? Hey Idiot President, what did you accomplish the last 3 1/2 years...besides ruining this country and killing lots of people?

Hey, I don't know what Whoopi said, but I know that my Bush is smarter than the one pretending to be President.

Get a live, Freepers. This is America. We say what we want to say. This is the worst President ever. You didn't give up your freedom of speech when it came to Clinton's blow-job. This "President" is responsible for over 1000 American soldiers being killed and thousands of innocent Iraqi children, mothers, and fathers. For WHAT??? NOTHING!!!

Kiss my liberal ass :nuke:

8. excellent!
Good for her not to be bullied and lectured by the hypocritical jackasses.

"Potty-mouthed"? What a juvenile expression, but first they ought to check in with their esteemed vice-pResident for a definition of the term.

11. They will keep trying to shut us up by complaining about
whatever we say -- either we're "angry," "hate Bush so much that (fill in the blank)" or whatever. The ONLY way to deal with it is to stand up to their mealy-mouth complaints. She did good. Very good. Now, if only the other John (Kerry) would take a lesson.

16. Really, just say we MIGHT apologize if Cheney apologizes first
Because for one thing the NY event was a PRIVATE fundraiser, not public. They love to use that 'private event' tag to conceal all the shit they are up to, so I say we use it too. And the only way the dems consider apologizing is if that fuckface Cheney apologizes for what he said in a PUBLIC forum, the US Senate, to Senator Leahy. Hell Cheney is even on record as saying he was glad he said it, and that he should have said it sooner ?? So WE are supposed to apologize?

NO FUCKING WAY

If Cheney does apologize tell him that's not good enough. he needs to resign because we are tired of having to explain to our children why the vice-president would say that to a Senator in a PUBLIC forum.

15. When Poppy Bush was president,

there were plenty of jokes with "mentions of Bush's name mixed with references to female genitalia." Whoopie's old enough to remember them so she's simply continuing a tradition of raunchy jokes about presidents named Bush.

Go, Kerry/ Edwards! (Teresa/ Elizabeth)

18. I wrote to the guy who wrote an article about heat Kerry was facing to
apologize. Apology my ass. :)

"Hi,

Thanks for the article, funny how the blood-thirsty killers in the White House can slaughter thousands based on lies and yet be really sensitive when taken to task on it - hey, I guess I can't blame them for feeling guilty. I am so glad these people are telling the truth, and I don't think Kerry should apologize for what these people think - they're Americans like the rest of us. That is unless they (right-wingers) need to be pointed in the direction of a few web-sites these fascist thugs like to promote - yeah, I didn't think so. :)"
