Bush Literally expelling Journalists not under their control
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 12:16 AM by John_H
Most of us at DU, and many other Americans who can pronounce Abu Gharib, rely on foreign reporters to do the actual reporting that our homegrown spokesmodels won't or can't do.

Welp, that's apparently about to change. Rove has found a way to kick foreign reporters he doesn't like out of the country without making it seem like he's kicking them out of the country.

DUer sweetheart scooped the rest of the american "media" in another thread:

"For foreign journalists to renew , they have to leave the country and pursue the interview process at a US embassy abroad. This is causing something like 20,000 journalists to be expelled during the election period, who will likely have difficulty getting back to cover said election. It worries me the "coincidence" of this little factoid."

See how this works? They have to leave the country to get back in to report. In other words, if the rovie doesn't like what you write that Visa never gets approved.

They've found a way to kick them out without actually kicking them out. And we'll be left with stretch, pancho, tweety, and candy.
