Just what constitutes NEWS?

I have posted several stories the last couple of months about seizures of real machine guns, silencers, explosives, poison gases, and detonators...all found here in the good old U. S. of A. All posts basically sank unnoticed. My post about the recent capture of some pretty serious stuff got beaten down by posts about flatulence, pissing on Hummers, the ever present Caption This, and so forth. Does no one actually care about these stories, aside from complaining about things the government supposedly never tells us, or are the significance of these events not understood? Will the next OK City be a total surprise to us?

...I'll just stick Drudge, Moore, or UFOs in the title as an attention getter. :)

that's what I do with my posts that sink. After a time I let them drop but not before I've kicked them up for a day or so.

For what it is worth I saw one of your posts and thought it was very interesting and disturbing news. There's a lot of that these days. I appreciated someone putting it out there. I didn't reply because I didn't have anything to say.

Rather than rag on everyone, WHY NOT POST THE LINKS TO THE STORIES AGAIN.

And, yes, interesting subject lines DO help.

I did keep some of my threads kicked for longer than was polite. I'll try not using the headlines that come with the stories next time.

7. Thanks for trying. :) I do wonder just how many here remember...

...or know about things such as the Oklahoma City bombing or the Texas City Disaster. The Bali bombing was recent but I don't think many know how easily that bomb was made.

For perspective, the OK City bomb was estimated to cost somewhere in the area of $500 dollars and was made from common materials. Maybe this is what Daschle heard about last week...
