You'll see that these people seem to think it would be cool that Ditka ran for US Senate and not that he actually becomes a senator. Illinois is a good state for the dems and Obama will most likely win. Although, I would pay big money to see Obama debate "Da Coach".

They are grasping at straws, and this is a perfect example. Ditkas
biggest claim to fame is coaching the Chicago Bears. One year, they won the Super Bowl. This comes with an "asterisk" though.
That particular team was so talented, a chimp, such as GWB, could have coached that squad.
