Do you think Duhbya actually wants four more years? |
|
I think now that George has "done the President thing", he's ready and willing to have more privacy, and resume his career as full-time vacationer.
Do you disagree?
Granted, the Chimp has had more vacation time than anyone else that has held the job.
At the same time, he has had to make those effin’ speeches, say all those stupid things on camera, and listen to all those kids read stupid stories. The few fabricated press briefings he’s held have been eternal hell on Shrub.
Ever since this presidency started, young George has dreamed about being the coolest ex-president ever. He’s ready to get started.
Besides, if the man who eventually vanquishes him in a combative, “highly charged” election continues spending huge amounts on “the War on Terror”, lets the same guys run the show backstage (Rand Beers e.g.), pushes “free” trade, and hell, even happens to belong to the same sworn-secret society as him, his father, his father’s father, and key friends of the family, how upset is Duhbya gonna be?
Even his family and friends, for that matter?
<whisper> John Kerry is our next president. Trust me on that. Be as joyous as you feel is appropriate.

1. ..you know I've had this thought at times. You look at the guy and he |
|
does not look like he enjoys the job, say like Clinton, obviously did. He wanted to be the baseball commish. If there wasn't a kind of stigma about one term presidents he may have packed it in. You know, 'I did the War Pres thing, now I'm done'.

Also when Uncle Dick went into this war, he wasn't worried about getting re-elected/selected. He was obssesed with having Saddam out for some strange reason. These two factors (mine and the one above me) could make this theory possible...

3. Yeah, I've thought of this, too. |
|
Actually, for a while now I've imagined him pitching temper tantrums before any public appearance. "I don't wanna go out there and talk to those mean people. Do I have to? Waaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!"
And I've seen that look in *'s eyes that says, "I'd rather be ANYPLACE but here."
He's set no matter what. But I think the power trip is too tempting.

5. Considering his actions at Booker elementary. . . |
|
do really think he feels powerful? Card told him that "America is under attack", but he didn't even stick around for orders? Neither the Chief of Staff of the White House nor anyone else, gave a shit what he thought for at least seven minutes after they considered America under attack.
That says reams.

6. I don't think its his decision to make |

Ever see the movie Being There with Peter Sellers? Remember the last scene when all the power brokers were carrying the "old mans" coffin in the funeral and were trying to decide who they were going to prop up to be the next President? And they all had the brainstorm of picking Chauncey Gardner, a pliable imbecile. Well, there you go. Its the same with W. The powers that be want the power. W has no say in it. He is their pliable front man.

9. The real powers that be will be in control under Kerry, too. |
|
The real powers that be, don't hold any government office. They'll still be in power. Their war will continue, "free" trade will progress, and the Patriot Act will still be in place.
And all the bad press will be dumped on a Democrat again. The Establishment smear machine works best with a Democrat in the White House.
The Establishment is tired of defending. It's better at attacking helpless "enemies" who will do their bidding anyway.
Least that's the way I see it.

10. Only if he gets to be the dictator this time. |
|
I read once that when he was a kid if he was losing he would pick up his bat and ball and go home rather than lose. He doesn't like to lose anything that is competitive. It's like an obsessive thing with him. Add in his fathers failure to be re-elected, and I believe he wants to win at any cost. It's like a way to show up his dad and correct his dad's losing at the same time. I believe this was one of the reasons he wanted to go to Iraq too. But I think if he was able to connect to and follow his own feelings he would go home to Crawford. I don't believe he truly wanted it in the first place. Gotta admit I think the guy is really messed up almost (note almost) to the point where I feel kinda sorry for him. He should not have ever been president. Say what you will about Clinton. There was a natural and brillant leader who wanted to be president.

13. He's in a hellish psychological bind. |
|
He clearly HATES having to do what he has to do -- answer "questions," make speeches, keep appearing to WORK, etc. It's obvious he would rather be anywhere but here.
On the other hand, he HATES to lose, which is the only way out for him.
There was some speculation yesterday about why he appears to have become progressively less articulate and sharp over the past couple years. I think this mental bind is the reason. This is an absolutely tied-up psyche. The only way out for him at this point is melt-down.

15. A melt-down? PLEASE let it be so! |
|
The sorry little bastard didn't want the gig in the first place. You could see it in his eyes after about the first month of his Residency. One wonders what evil Sword of Damocles Poppy dangled over Junior's empty head to get him to go through the (well-deserved) hell that this "Presidency" has heaped on him.
And if a melt-down is the only way out for bu$h, then so be it. What kind of Compassionate Liberal would I be to deny a man a way out of a mess like this?
A melt-down on live TV would be MOST appropriate, with bu$h shrieking like the Chimp he is, jumping up and down and throwing his shoes at the shocked and awed Press Corpse. Suddenly, his near-human shape would dissolve and he would appear in his true Reptilian form. Surreality TV at its finest!
