What's the Election Situation in Australia?
I know elections are supposed to happen soon and that John Howard made the poor decision to send troops to Iraq. Labor leader Mark Latham reminds me of Tony Blair(before he went to Iraq with Bushco).

1. Probably not until October at the earliest...
Howard can call an election at anytime during his term of office, which runs out at the end of the year. Sometimes a PM will call an election after only 1 year in office because his party's poll results are really good.

At the moment Howard hasn't been able to put a gap between his party and the opposition, so the pundits think he'll wait until the end of the year to have the election.

2. Before November for sure
Howard will call an election before November, he is scared that his buddy Bush will get the push. I pray they both do.
