Christian Right admits defeat: GAYS HAVE WON (YAY!)
At the same time, we must take into account the transformation of the American mind that is now so devastatingly evident to all who have eyes to see.

The real tragedy of “After the Ball” is that the great result of this is not a party, but the complete rejection of the very moral foundations which made this society possible. In order to address the most fundamental problems, we must understand the shape of the American mind. Looking back at “After the Ball” after 15 years, it all comes into frightening focus.

1. I heard some Church radio station yesterday say call into congress
Think it said Monday to get this amendment going. I really do not know what this station was as I had never heard it before and I just flipped into it because I could not take Rush. It sounded like a Bush station.I think the less amendments we have the better, specially ones telling us what we can not do.

3. The religious right cannot admit that
sexual orientation is determined in the womb. To do so would be to admit that the human species is merely another species trying to survive.

6. But, but, but
The earth is only 4,000 years old and we are not just a highly adapted species of primate we are the mostest specialestest things in the entire UNIVERSE and a god that looks like a big human with flowing robes made us out of clay (or at least Adam who made Eve out of his rib -- yes, that's logical) and then they had two boys and never mind how the rest of the babies were made after that and what are you going to believe about evolution, a mountain of evidence and your own lying eyes or a book written 2,000 years ago? Huh?

7. When do these Christians actually practice Christianity?
You know, the stuff Jesus taught about not judging others, and loving
each other....

I wonder if these "Biblical Christians" have ever noticed some of the
bizarre and contradictory stuff that is in the bible.

8. Normally they do this to drum up support.
They are likely hoping to recruit more folks into becoming politically active christian bigots.

The purpose of "combating deviance" is the false reassurance it brings to the miserable that they are actually living "better" lives than their victims. They need this constant reassurance because they are insecure in their own beliefs.

Oh wait, let me see, God tortured and killed his only son to make Him happy enough to forgive everyone else for being human. Why have I not realized the logical sense of their belief before? Everyone should be secure that this story is the absolute truth!

stupid, stupid me

9. What's sad is the guy still doesn't get it.
He wants to just go on and on about the so-called Homosexual Agenda and blather on about the brilliance of a homosexual conspiracy that doesn't exist.

It never occurred to this man that the only thing that has happened is that there was a backlash for the sort of hatred he likes to preach.

God wouldn't let this bunch of freaks get away with that sort of thing. They were given lives to live and they have no right to harass, vex, badger, maim or kill them strictly on the basis of their sexual orientation.
