Angry Repubs want video released of Friday's celebrity event in NY
But you notice how secretive they are with their fundraisers, etc. They never release any of those videos, do they? What hypocrites!

<snip>
NEW YORK (AP) -- After celebrities raised $7.5 million with a concert for Democratic candidates John Kerry and John Edwards, an angry Bush campaign challenged their opponents on Friday to release a videotape showing performers calling the president a "liar" and a "cheap thug" during the show.

<snip>
"If John Kerry is going to praise last night's star-studded hate fest and characterize it as the 'heart and soul' of America, he should share these values with voters everywhere," Bush-Cheney campaign manager Ken Mehlman said Friday in a statement. "We call on Kerry to release the video of this event so that all Americans can see what John Kerry has called America's 'heart and soul."'

Kerry campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill told reporters in a conference call that Kerry and Edwards did not agree with everything the performers said during the concert. She did not respond directly when asked why the candidates did not repudiate from the stage the harshest language directed at Bush and noted that the Bush-Cheney campaign didn't release recordings of its fund raisers and neither did they.

1. The next time this happens, repugs should shell out their money for a
ticket instead of demanding a free video.

18. PerGOP: Bush was called "liar, killer, cheap thug who sacrifices our young"
PerGOP: Bush was called "liar, killer, cheap thug who sacrifices our young" - The GOP has given up on the dirty talk line and is down to this in the last mass email:

"Last night at a Hollywood fundraiser in New York City, John Kerry said his "campaign will be a celebration of real American values" and that "every performer conveyed… the heart and soul of our country."

According to media accounts, the performers took the stage to call the President of the United States a "liar," a "cheap thug who sacrifices our young," and "a killer."

6. Cheneying hypocrites...
...they can go cheney themselves. Let's see some video of Bush/Cheney fundraisers, where Cheney clubs baby seals to death for the amusement of his contributors. And then they drink the blood of infant babies (now you know why they consider evey sperm so sacred - they thrive on the blood of newborn infants) and have sex with goats. Heck, as long as we're just making outlandish claims and filing completely hypocritical self-serving requests...let's go all out.

Bush/Cheney 2004 - Not too proud to club baby seals and drink the blood of infants...

7. This is Bullshit
There are people DYING, and they want to make an issue of CELEBRITIES getting a little out of hand?

Here's a little message, RNC: people have a right to their opinions.

Further, they have a continent of loony abortion-shooting doctors and Klansmen that blow up federal buildings. We have Whoopi.

They need to stick it in their goddamn pie hole. They are acting like babies -- and this is what they're going to do all along. Kerry is talking policy. Bush is talking Whoopi.

10. How about a trade?
The fundraiser video for...

- Cheney's Energy Commission records.

- ALL of Bush's military records.

- All the documents in the Plame case.

Sounds fair to me.

11. I Love How
Every time someone on the Dem side criticizes Bushie and makes him cry, like Whoopi did recently, or the Moveon ad submission, or whatever, it's John Kerry's job to defend the Idiot-in-Chief.

Of course, the reverse isn't true.

of Bush searching for WMDs under his desk.

Jackasses. They truly ARE fools... If this gets released it will be WILDLY popular and more people will pay attention. Do they not KNOW that America loves humor?

And, hate fest? I'll give you a hate fest. I have one every day for the Bush administration. Want a tape of it?

20. They don't want the video aired, only their spin on it
too many folks in the country would agree with what the celebrities said! And Repukes being 'shocked' at Whoopee's innuendoes (which I thought were hilarious!)-considering what Cheney said, isn't it a case of the pot calling the kettle black?

21. Kerry campaign could raise millions by selling a DVD of that event !
and from what I have heard the remarks and jokes would actually not be all that offensive to mainstream America who are used to Whoopi's style of humor. This whole brouhaha just raised more interest in the Kerry campaign events.

Most of the so-called shocking quotes were just celebrities telling it like it is about Bush. Kind of like the F911 criticisms where they can't dispute the facts so they play up the disrespect to the Pres angle. Kind of like when Bush Sr called Clinton and Gore bozos while the Repubs were slamming them for being disrespectful to Bush by not always calling him 'President' Bush.

That is a RNC ad I would really enjoy. . .

But until then, let me just say "I am outraged at the outrage!"

Boo Hoo, Whoopi made some jokes.

What is next, Gitmo for Letterman?
