Who's writing "our" platform? Sounds like the RNC. |
|
Just read a story from Reuters on the Democratic Platform.
Among other thing it calls for:
Staying in Iraq until "security is restored". What amounts to an open ended occupation.
It calls for 40,000 more active duty troops and spending more on upgrading equipment. That for the "world's most powerful military".
It calls for preemption "if our safety is threatened".
It offers tax-breaks to corporations who don't outsource.
The article also states that the document is,
".. a statement that largely codifies what presumptive Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry has already said on the campaign trail."

1. More Anti-Democratic Party posts .... |
|
from someone who obviously despises the Democratic Party and its many members: especially those who populate this forum by a huge percentage ....
We are those whom you hold in utter contempt .....

Lets all vote green so that the dems will be even more convinced that liberal views wont get them elected.
We are fighting an uphill battle, lets not get discouraged just because we havent won yet.

5. Oh please there is nothing Republican about that |

And is your remedy to let people get slaughtered by whichever side of their civil conflict is more predatory? I trust Kerry to form a coalition and actually WORK towards getting OUT of Iraq instead of forming a permanent occupation to suit his oil buddies.

Golly...imagine that..our troops have the flak jackets they need and don't have to purchase their own boots. They have adequate back up that IS NOT PRIVATIZED so that our military is not under the control of PMC's...go figure.
It calls for preemption "if our safety is threatened".
I'm not FOND of this part since we've already seen how irresponsibly it can be tweaked and it justifies other nations feeling the same.
It offers tax-breaks to corporations who don't outsource.
While again it is lacking... it is difficult to compete with slave labor wages.
