3. more Sibel
Sibel is scheduled to be on Randi Rhodes on AA tonight. Be interesting to compare the interviews. Hopefully TiH will get this show archived fast. They have promised to post shows within 24 hours.

4. But that is a repeat. Isn't It? This is Hell is newer.
THIS WOMAN IS IN DANGER. She might commit "suicide". That much courage and outspokenness is not allowed in this country.

5. I think there are too many hands, pockets, and souls compromised
by her information... on both sides of the aisle in Congress.

Sometime when you can's connects on Real Player, you can connects on Windows Media Player.
As for the Rhodes show, just heard an announcement that Sibel was going to be on, don't know if it is a repeat.
Thought the economist Ellen Frank was real interesting.

8. If you didn't hear today, please, please, please, please, get to
their site later in the week and get the audio file for the interview with Sibel Edmonds. We are not in a democracy anymore. We are not even pretending!!! The 911 report and any other report is censored by Ashcroft... nothing will come out.

THEY CANNOT EVEN PUBLISH WHAT LANGUAGES SHE SPEAKS!!!!!!
The only thing they can mention in the suit by the 911 suit about Sibel is her name, address, and the time outside... and this is an official statement!

9. They are laughing about having the audio posted within 24 hours.
And people writing to them saying "which one of your slackers doesn't do his job to post these audios?" THEY ARE LAUGHING THEIR HEADS OFF!!!

10. posting
They have gotten the shows posted within 24 hours in the past, not regularly, but they can do it. And none of them have talked about bar-hopping or getting together for some other excuse to drink, so they may not have anything to distract them from their responsibilities.

11. heard the end of the interview, about what she was able
to say at deposition/testimony

what was that judge's name? he's ruled against at least twice

edmonds mentioned that she had a very reliable source from a major newspaper that one of their top reporters has GUARANTEED the justice department that that paper will NOT cover this story

also, she's very pissed at the Dems, including Kerry, and will vote for Nader

considering all that the junta has done to keep this under wraps, that last bit infuriates me the MOST

I REALLY am getting to hate the Dem party, and my discomfiture with Kerry increases daily

not only THAT, but the following guest said that Kerry is WORSE in his stances regarding Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, and emerging South American populist movements than Bush!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really bummer of a show today

also, CBS has no plans to rebroadcast her 60 Minutes appearance

isn't that sweet?

12. I got sick from both the Edmonds and Venezuela pieces... I have
to hold my nose harder and harder to vote for Kerry. I am sorry to say that, but I was repulsed by his opinion that Bush* has been to soft on Venezuela??????

13. think you;re pissed? read her Counterpunch piece
came out yesterday........somebody musta posted it, but I missed

On Tuesday, July 6, 2004, Judge Reggie Walton made a decision and ruled on my case. Under his ruling, I, an American citizen, am not entitled to pursue my 1st and 5th Amendment rights guaranteed under the Constitution of the United States. The vague reasoning cited, without any explanation, is to protect "certain diplomatic relations for national security." Judge Walton reached this decision after sitting on this case with no activity for almost two years. He arrived at this decision without allowing my attorney and I any due process: NO status hearing, NO briefings, NO oral argument, and NO discovery. He made his decision after allowing the government attorneys to present their case to him, privately, in camera, ex parte; we were not allowed to participate in these cozy sessions.

Is this the American system of justice we believe in? Is this the due process we read about in our Civics 101 courses? Is this the judicial branch of our government that is supposed to be separate from the other two branches in order to protect the people's rights and freedom?

This court decision by itself would have been appalling and alarming enough, but in light of all other actions taken against my case for the past two years it demonstrates a broken system, a system abused and corrupted by the current executive, a system badly in need of repair.

Under this broken system the attorney general of the United States is being allowed to illegally gag the United States Congress regarding my case. And even worse, the United States Congress is readily complying with this illegal gag.

Under this broken system the attorney general of the United States is being allowed to hinder ongoing investigations such as those of the 9/11 Commission and the DOJ-Inspector General.

Under this broken system the Attorney General of the United States is getting away with interfering and tampering with pending cases under the judicial process, such as my court cases and the lawsuit by the 9/11 victim families.

John Ashcroft's relentless fight against me, my information, and my case, on various fronts, from the Congress to the courts, and from the 9/11 Commission to the Inspector General's Office, has been taking place under his attempt at a vague justification titled "Protecting Certain Foreign and Diplomatic Relations for National Security."

15. is it me, or shouldn't this story be a source of gigantic outrage?
it cuts so deeply, at so many different levels, that it really does seriously pose the question as to whether even the most apathetic person, apprised of what's gone down here, can still believe we exist in anything less than a shamocracy at this point.

don't Michael Moore's words, for which he was so viciously attacked at the Oscars, ring even more truly after hearing what Edmonds has to say today?

on a positive note, she thinks there's some chance that this may see the light of day in court before the election

she didn't elaborate, but did say that

18. thanks for posting this!
Depressing as hell though it is.

America's broken, and it'll take more than Sibel Edmonds to fix it. But it may take listening to her for Americans to begin the repair work.

19. if i were in her shoes i couldnt imagine handling this any better than she
is. she is only and earnestly fighting for the truth..

who else can actually say that... maybe michael moore (where is he on this subject) and rep henry waxman (ca)

anyone else? bev harris?

its a real shame about why she will vote nader. this major hornets nest is too much for kerry to touch i guess

and she is exactly right (except i dont dare think about voting nader). every time i have heard her and read her - i have more admiration for her.

20. couldn't agree more
and, btw, what happened to that FBI person who tried to recruit her into spying?

haven't read her counterpunch story all the way through, but I bet she skated, or, like the Saudis, immediately post 911, left the country
