Will the whoreish media pursue the 'destroyed records' fiasco?
Or will they sit there with their thumbs up their collective asses just like they did when Bush rushed us to war.

Hey, media - just because it is not a banner on Drudge doesn't mean it is not a story ...

Here, you could start with these questions ....

Who destroyed the records? When? Why were no backup copies made? Was anyone elses records lost? Who was present in the room when they were destroyed. Can we interview the person that 'accidentally destroyed" them? Take us step by step through what happened please ....

The media have never wanted to pursue this story and take on the boy king. They still don't, even when we are getting told to Cheney off. Access to his royalness is too important

1. nah - Whoopi is SO much more important
They are too busy *DEMANDING* that a tape of the event be released so that we can see if Kerry laughed at an off-color joke.

4. The AP sued to see the records in the first place.. the OOPS
they are lost deal is in response to that.

Let's hope the AP presses onward.

5. Not a snowball's chance in hell.
This issue, for the media and the sheeple, is over.

6. I actually believe this issue will persist.
The disappearance of the microfiche is as Nixonian as it gets, and voters, especially of the swing-voter variety, don't enjoy being continuously duped into buying the phony tough-guy fighter-pilot image of the Commander-in-Chief.

Since the AP sued in the first place, I have a feeling this question won't remain unanswered forever. In fact, I think the Bushies really screwed the pooch on this one. They would have been wiser to just release the damned records as redacted and incomplete, instead of vanishing them altogether, which only creates more doubt where there was already plenty.

I'm gonna hang with the optimistic crowd on the AWOL issue.

7. Microfilm does not "deteriorate" all that fast...

...there's something really fishy here. I'd ask to see the microfilm of other people who served around the same time -- film that was made THE SAME TIME that Bush's was and film that was stored IN THE SAME PLACE. This would tell us more about the true condition of the film before it was "inadvertently" destroyed.

9. It will only be an issue if the Dems relentlessly push it.
The corporate media won't do any serious follow up.
