Oh my God. This is Hell is talking about the mess in Venezuela! |
|
Latin America is just bubbling, bubbling, bubbling. Venezuela, Colombia will become involved in a dirty war sponsored by the USA... Because the RWingers in Venezuela want to call "foreign investment" for the oil industry. God Help us.

Then there is Columbia, Syria, North Korea... So many targets - so little time. And with more dope coming across the border from Canada than Mexico, I say on to Toronto (I have never seen the the Lion King on stage.) It would be convenient, we almost know the language.

10. There has been a lot of American psy ops, special forces, and "private |
|
contractors" in Colombia for a long time. There was infiltration of the Colombian paramilitary forces into Venezuela (Chavez displayed some of the ones caught by his armed forces) sponsored by the USA.
This is war... secret war. Those Americans who die there are said to have "no official connection" to the USA.

Isn't there an oil pipeline there too? The Farc is well financed by its drug operations, it could turn that war real hot and get Bush to react by sending official troops. Of course, who knows where he would get them. Anyone know what happened to the woman politician who was running for President or Vice-President of Columbia and had been captured by the Farc?

11. Plan Colombia was actually put into place by Clinton |
|
Under the guise of stopping narcotics trafficking, it is really an excuse to give US military aid to Colombia for fighting the FARC (a Communist guerilla organization designated as a "terrorist" org. by the US), and also to help Colombian paramilitaries, aided by the Colombian Army, murder more trade unionists (more union organizers killed in Colombia every year than anywhere else in the world). Plan Colombia has been expanded by the Bush administration.
The attempted coup and general employer lockout against Hugo Chavez in Venezuela was assisted by the CIA and corrupt AFL-CIO (by recruiting certain unprincipled trade union leaders to go along with the employer-led "strike"-- really a lock-out). The US and Venezuelan employer class do not like the democratically-elected Chavez's socialist-leaning policies, so they are trying to oust him by any means necessary. They are currently pushing for a recall referendum.
