Army Looking for A Few Good Sailors, Marines and Airmen

http://www.kwtx.com/home/headlines/872936.html

A new Army program called Operation Blue to Green, will recruit sailors, marines and airmen who are leaving their services because of force reductions.

Plans call for the Air Force to reduce its numbers by 16,000 and the Navy, by 7,900 by the end of 2005, officials from the two services confirmed.

Meanwhile the Army is trying to fill its ranks to meet the demands of the war on terrorism.

The program, according to an Army Web site, tells potential recruits that signing up "will allow you to continue to serve your country, to maintain the benefits of military service and to expand your horizons by gaining new training and trying new things."

1. Trying new things
like rolling a Humvee over an improvised explosive device to see if you are "man enough" to survive it.
