ZombyMom just told off their real estate agent!
What unprofessional SHIT to send this tripe to your clients!

My parents' real estate agent sent a hate mail about our next First Lady, and my Mom's reply (edited for my parents' privacy, but not the agent's, but it's only her first name anyway):

Betty-- (ZombyDad) and I are registered Democrats and we give our full support to ousting the impostor evil person that now occupies the White House. I see Kerry-Edwards as the best thing that has happened to this nation in the last four years!!! So you may want to take us off your list of e-mail political messages. Thanks--(ZombyMom)

:spank: My Mom hates Bush more than all of us combined, lol.

I will only post the anti-Teresa email on request.

1. No need
I don't need to see excrement to know that it smells. Thanks for posting your folks' reply, though! Too bad they have to stay with that real estate agent!

Could you give us a little flavor of the e-mail? I am curious to know what they could possibly have against Teresa. She seems like a cool person from what I have seen of her on C-Span. I'm sure a couple of words would give us an idea of whatever sleazy direction they are going in.

5. I'd be in the market for a different real estate agent
I've worked with several different agents over the past few years and they've all conducted themselves in a very professional manner. They should really keep they're politics out of their business dealings with clients. Tell ZombyMom she deserves better.

8. The agent needs to be reported to the realtor. His unprofessional
behavior may have some clients call into question the quality of service provided by that office.

9. The National Association of Realtors are the biggest contributors
to the Repukes, (Even bigger than the NRA).

I have a real estate license and ninety percent of the realtors I know are Repugs, not because of idealogy, but because they think it better suits their business interests.

Most never pay attention to politics or anything else other than the next customer and the next sale.

Although most are not "evil" people, many would look upon concentration camps only as an opportunity to sell bunk space. Not out of bad intent, but rather as another opportunity to make a buck.

Is this capitalism at it's finest or what?

10. Wow.
Were your parents selling/buying with this realtor? Losing a customer is costly in that line of business. Stupidity becomes costly in that case, because the ZombyParents will tell their friends, no?

Good on your folks for calling them on it.

StevieMom gets this kind of crap in the mail very often, and it really chaps my hide.

12. Are They So Demented
That "they" feel everyone feels the same way "they" do?

I sure as hell wouldn't blow a Five-Thousand Dollar Comission and a sale unless I was convinced everyone was on the same page.

13. PEOPLE, WAKE UP. YOU'RE PAYING THEM AND THEY VOTE REPUG
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 04:14 PM by Cyrano
Zombymom, trying to get your posting up to the top. As I stated in reply #9, I have a real estate license and I know that 90% of my coworkers vote Repug.

They don't care about politics. They care about pocketbook issues and for some unknowable reason, they believe the Repugs are better for their pocketbooks.

It's important for everyone in this country to understand that every time they pay a real estate commission, they are paying for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) to help the Repugs hold onto power. The NAR, believe it or not, contributes more than the NRA.

Goddamn it, people. Get your priorities straight. If your agent is paying dues to help Smirk, buy from a "For Sale By Owner."

On edit: Just received a call from a realtor acquaitence, who doesn't know I'm Cyrano, to ask if I'd seen the "dangerous poison" being spewed out on DU.

14. My Brokerage is Definitely Democratic
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 04:26 PM by stumblnrose
I am a realtor in Seattle, WA. Not sure if my location has anything to do with it, but my brokerage is definitely full of Demos. Also, the local real estate organizations tend to support Demos for office. I tend to shy away from these special interest real estate groups here though they all seem to collect dues from me on a quarterly basis.
I have one car for business that has no bumper stickers on it, but many times people will open the door by stating their own disdain for *Bushwa but I like to keep things light and airy so I don't dwell on the sordid state of affairs too much until we close on something. Hard to analyze the joys and beauties of a craftsman while dissing the trash at the top.

ON EDIT: I am adding this link: http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/summary.asp?ID=D000000062 which features contribution stats for the National Association of Realtors - fairly equal. I am not sure where being Republican holds any benefits for most realtors, hard to believe that there is any reason to be a Thuglican unless you earn dollars beyond what most agents make.

20. Stumblnrose: I'm in Florida and, unlike Seattle, most of the agents
here are repugs (although not idealogues). Nonetheless, of the dues that both you and I pay a large portion of it goes to the NAR and we have no say in how they spend it.

Although I try to avoid political conversations in the office, for some incomprehensible reason, these people seem to think that the repugs are better for business. (I can't find any statistics to back that up.)

The most shocking day I had, was on 9/11 when I saw what had happened on TV, went into the office to explain it to others, and found that they were more interested in their next appointment.

Yes, the next day, they were shocked. But it took the pictures to do that, not an explanation of what had happened.

that's going around--be sure you get your Mom to send her the Snopes refuted info--that should "teach" said realtor to be careful about what she sends out.

17. My investment adviser is a Republican
I should say ex-adviser since we had a heated discussion last year and I told him that his advise only makes the rich richer and does nothing for the rest of us.

My new adviser is a Democrat.

22. My real estate agent, who is also my client is a Dem.. sort of..
She's the type that doesn't bother much with politics (thinks she hasn't the time), AND for fear of pissing off the many, many conservatives in our wealthy enclave (gag), she has to be oh so neutral.. Just once in a while, over lunch, she rants about the 'god bless america crowd', etc.. Then, she composes herself, checks her lipstick, and becomes a realtor that a conservative could love... they just don't know the truth about her, because she's smart enough NOT to politicize her job.

Just as I don't patronize local businesses that plaster right wing posters in their window, politics have no place in business. Where my husband works, the owners are MAJOR right wingers.. and the only people who talk politics, are the ones that agree with them... We don't even put Kerry stickers on the car, for fear of subtle retaliation... it's just better not to bring it to the workplace. Think the right wingers ever worry about job security, or having their car vandalised, etc.. for speaking their beliefs? me neither.

23. I learned a lesson that encourages me when I recieve these
A friend of mine (gay, no less), kept sending me political shit in support of the great deceiver. I patiently replied (frequently debunking myths) and lo and behold, she's now come around. She and her mate are voting Kerry.
