Gays Undermining America Bush Says
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 05:20 PM by Cannikin
The address brought an immediate response from the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBT civil rights group in the country.

"Just days after his administration announced new terrorist threats, President Bush took to the airwaves to promote a discriminatory amendment ranking dead last on the American people's priority list," said HRC President Cheryl Jacques in a statement.

"President Bush and his Congressional allies should focus on the priorities of the American people, not the agenda of their extremist base."

Jerry Falwell, Gary Bauer, Paul Weyrich, James Dobson, Tony Perkins, and others are calling for preachers to use Sunday to preach support for the amendment.

A live program, "Battle For Marriage," has also been scheduled to be aired Sunday evening on various Christian television networks.

2. I am so sick of fundagelical Christians getting their panties in a bunch
over what consenting adults do.

Poverty and war are offensive. The concept of unvaccinated and uneducated children living in alleyways and eating out of dumpsters is offensive. Families living one paycheck away from homelessness is offensive.

Governor Bush, you and your weapon of mass destruction (poverty) which you wield against the world's lower classes ARE OFFENSIVE! Get thee behind me!

Would Jesus love a liberal? You bet!

10. Moyers last night took on the culture wars
and how they've been a smokescreen for the biggest scam ever to be accomplished on the American people, that of ripping them off for the frutis of their labors while the rhetoric aims to remake the society along fundy lines. Moyers and his guest have pointed out that the "cultural war" has done NOTHING it said it would, not a single damned thing, yet the scared little rabbits in fundy churches all across the country continue to vote against their economic interest in order to keep the war going!

Gawd, I don't think these damned fools are going to wake the hell up until they're standing in rubble and starving and their personal savior still fails to turn up.

In any case, pay no attention to this BS. They have absolutely no intention of trying to ram this stupid thing through the states.

7. When I tunnel, I have fun
Except when I accidentally stumble into VP Cheney's "undisclosed location." He's rarely happy to see us.

8. Well, I'm definitely undermining Bush. I've sent Kerry and Edwards
money for their campaign. The more Bush opens his piehole about how bad gays are, the more money I send Kerry and Edwards.

In the words of Cheney "Fuck you, Dubya."

BTW, doesn't he remember that Cheney's daughter is a lesbian?

Check out www.dearmary.com

It's a site that asks why she's willing to sell out not just the gay community, but her*self*

12. how many people really care about this enough
to base their vote only on this issue? 1% maybe 3% at the most. those people would vote for bush no matter what he said..it just makes bush sound stupid to the vast majority of people who are worried about how to make ends meet each week and find they keep running short.

18. It's a pretty fundamental issue...
I'm not gay but if I voted, this would be enough to keep me from voting for Bush (as if there weren't enough other reasons).

Equal rights for all is very fundamental and I would never support any candidate who didn't see things that way.

It's like they're trying to turn this country into the type of country they say they're protecting us from.

20. Pardon my French
But fuck them all. Every last one of them can rot in hell.

My lover of 5 years died the end of last year, so I know first hand just how many rights gay couples have. The goddamn hospital couldn't even call to tell me he had died as I wasn't a "family" member.

I have had it with this. How these so called "christians" continue to shit on people who want to commit to a loving relationship is beyond me.

I would have married my late partner in a second.
