Conservatives for Kerry
My 68 year old, conservative mother in law who lives in upstate NY told me today that she is voting for Kerry. She does not trust Bush.

1. Southern conservatives for Kerry
I know many folks who are conservative and who have voted Republican in the past who have decided that Bush is so bad that they are not only voting Democrat but actively working for Kerry and the Democrats!

2. Groovy
My conservative mom is voting for Kerry. There are some issues that she doesn't agree with him on, but she's really pissed off at Bush for getting us into that damn war. She calls Bush a liar. And get this, she voted for Bush last time.

3. The Bush deficit
is probably making a lot of traditional conservative voters think twice about voting Republican this time.

4. It matters not which label she identifies with.
She's obviously got her wits about her. Only a complete idiot could vote for 4 more years of this madness.

5. My step-father
Who has been a conservative since Clinton is voting Kerry this year as well. He even asked me today to look up groups of Republicans against Bush! I'm so happy!

6. My grandmother is a staunch Republican
And she hates what Bush has turned the Republican Party into. She will be voting for Kerry. Did I mention she went to see F-911?

7. My 83 yr old Fox News watching grandma is voting for Kerry/Edwards
she declared to me.

She loves Edwards so much that she said she's voting for the Dem ticket because of him!

Go Grandma!

8. I've got 2 brother-in-laws that are coming around.
I've been working on my sister's husband and wife's brother for 3 long years. Been some interesting family gatherings during the holidays. One admitted during July 4th that he's voting Kerry. The other won't commit to Kerry, but says he won't be voting for Bush. I'll take a non-vote but still have a few months to work on him. Still have 1 sister-in-law to convert but she's an idiot who says Bush can do no wrong (won't make that comment to the wife though). The things I go through for my children and grandchildren. It's their future I debate / argue for.

9. My stepdad is an old-school Goldwater-type conservative.
I feel sorry for the guy, listening to me and VolcanoMom harping on and on about our BushHate.

However, he's against this war (as its being waged, he adds), he's against the deficit, he's against the tax cuts for the rich, he's against the outsourcing, he's against the secrecy... I have a feeling that, although he'd never admit it to us, he's a conservative who will be pulling that lever for Kerry/Edwards, in the beautiful, private sanctuary of the Voting Booth.

Bush is toast.

12. My conservative dad is voting for Kerry
He's kind of a "Reagan Democrat" but he's really more republican than democrat. But he HATES Bush. He said he wants to kick himself when he realizes what he did by voting for him last time - he lives in Florida.
