not just no, HELL NO
there is a lot of talk about swing states, and we all had a nice lesson about the electoral collage. so a lot of emphasis is being placed on the importance of electoral math, red states, blue states, tightly contested, yada yada. but i think a real emphasis needs to be put on the fact that we COULD have a landslide. st ron's "landslide" was the work of about 28% of eligible voters! he beat carter by less than 10%! mandate my ass is right. how did this get spun this way?
what would a kerry landslide require? not only do we need a landslide, to get it, we need what we need- turnout. there are just so many thug voters out there, they show up every time. most of the non-voters will vote dem if you can drag them out. rr's "landslide" was pathetic slight of hand. kerry's can come one way- record turnout, everywhere. electoral tallies aside, in the end, an irrefutable number is % of eligible voters. maybe not to the pundits and the media whores, but to the history books.
we need to say HELL NO to war, greed and corruption. so much of the myth of st ron, and his legacy, is tied to this alleged "landslide". it is more than just who gets elected. there is such a thing as a mandate. kerry needs one and he needs a big one. and he needs dems in congress, too, and they will ride the tide.
besides, you can't steal a landslide.
get up stand up.

4. Reminds me of...
You know, if one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and they won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony,
they may think they're both faggots and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in
singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an
organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said
fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and
walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

12. yeah!
it's a small world. a friend of mine was visiting colleges with her daughter recently. arlo was doing a gig that night, and was hanging around during the afternoon. signing autographes, and all. she went up and said hi, and gave him one of my buttons. too cool.

2. That's right!
No Democrat should be flirting with voting third party, whether they believe their state is in play or not. We need to pour it on everywhere.

3. voter registration needs to be done NOW.....

in Virginia...you must request your paperwork, it arrives at YOUR place, you filled it out, mail it back....and it must get to the voter Registrar in YOUR county/city by a deadline of September 28th...sooooooo....time to get MOVING....and help all your friends, neighbors, strangers in coffee shops and on buses and subways....

for Virginia....start by calling the Virginia State Board of Elections at 1-800-552-9745.....they will tell you the location/phone for YOUR local voting REGISTRAR....call your local registrar to assure that YOU are official registered to vote (Virginia purges voters who fail to vote regularly)....anyhow, depending on your situation, the Registrar will tell you what to do....

for all the rules in GREAT DETAIL...

5. I think I have converted/convinced 25
My voting aged sons were easy. The rest of the family (sisters, in-laws), I drove them nuts but they'll vote Kerry. Now friends and strangers - I wear a Kerry Button and carry with me voter registration forms so that when people see and comment on the Kerry Button it opens the door to ask if they are voting for him and if by chance they're not registered out comes the pre-stamped forms. This works really well because they first approach me to start the political conversation.
