What's the best bet for campaign donation
at this point in the election cycle?

Directly to the Kerry campaign or to the Democratic Party? Doesn't Kerry's campaign $$ have to be used up by the convention?

1. Give directly to the Kerry campaign.

They will be able to spend it before July 29.

If they can spend it, I can send it...not that much right now, but at least I still have a job.

4. Also..Find your local Dem headquarters.
Most towns open a temporary office during major election years.
Try searching here:

http://www.switchboard.com/

They usually have cool stickers, yard signs, or T-shirts not otherwise available.

Buying anything there generates profit to directly benefit the race.
PLUS...You get unique campaign gear to display and show your support.

I think thats important because there is a sizeable segment of voters that will vote for who they feel everyone else is voting for.

Kinda like a lemming effect. (nobody wants to vote for the loser.)

5. Double your money.
Use the link below to have your contribution matched by the DNC. Not sure exactly how or where the money goes or when this expires.

8. Donate time
If you're in a swing state, go out and actually do campaign work. I've been doing it myself, and it's remarkable A) just how much a small number of dedicated people can do, and B) just how many people sit on their asses rather than taking action to get rid of the President they purportedly dispise.
