The irony of Move America Forward, they got more people to see F/911
I was thinking about this a few hours ago and I decided that this must be the case. People love seeing things that are "controversial" and retards like Move America Forward made the movie more controversial by protesting it. Thanks guys, you just helped convert several thousand people to our side.

1. Youre post is a bit vage?
In what way did they protest? I knew that Disney didn't want to distribute the moive, so MM founds Lions Gate. As far as I know there were no disturbances at any theaters...

3. They didn't succed...
What they did had the opposite effect. Actually the biggest publicity for this movie came when Disney refused to distribute the movie... :smoke:

4. Yeah, they just never learn. Thank god.
The first time I remember seeing this phenomenon was during the release of The Last Temptation of Christ. Exactly the same situation- they raised a big stink, made all kinds of threats, and drove interest in the movie through the roof.

It's a fundamentalist thing. Remember what the Iranians did to Rushdie's The Satanic Verses? They made him a star.

5. Heard about "Heart of the Beholder?"
About a couple in Missouri who were targeted by the Religious Right and driven out of business because they dared to stock "Last Temptation of Christ" at their video store? they were advertising on Air America a couple months ago, so I got on their mailing list:

ADDITIONAL FILM FUNDING

As with most low budget film productions, we ran over budget.

To get the best film possible, we shifted our entire post production
budget into the film production budget.

Our post production crew is working on a deferred basis and will be paid
upon the sale of the film. However, equipment and resources must be
paid for now and we are asking for additional help from our supporters.

To help complete our film - go to http://www.beholder.com
and click on the HELP FUND THIS FILM link on the left side.

We are offering a loan interest rate of 25% per year for two
years compounded daily for an overall rate of 64.84%.

Checks and money orders are preferred; however, PayPal
allows you to use your charge card to send funds to our email
address. This works best for overseas funds because our bank
won't cash foreign checks unless they convert to $500 U.S. or
more.

Donations of $25 or more guarantees you a DVD of our film.

The PayPal link is - http://paypal.com

Our email address is - producer@beholder.com

======================================================
Photos and behind-the-scenes video will be made available
as soon as we process them.

Thanks for all of your support.

Sincerely,
Darlene Lieblich
