Edited on Sun Jul-11-04 09:53 AM by dumpster_baby
Who the hell could think that? On Chris matthew's show, she said f911 will alienate most Americans. Apparently she has not yet seen it.

Moore IS "the American Left" for all practical purposes! If Moore is going to swing the election by alienating most Americans, then America aint worth saving.....

1. I used to really admire her.
Now she is just another shill. Do you think she is really that stupid, or does she have an agenda too?

How can you admire an info war slut whose brother is top lobbyist in DC? Whose father participated in the Warren Commission "greatest hoax of all time" and among her other acts of treason motherfucked Oliver Stone's film without ever seeing it. That was probably the only precedent for F/9-11, the movie JFK.

15. Many of us remember her reporting during Iran/Contra, and she was great.
Its a mystery to me what has happened to her.

Her idea about F911 is ridiculous.

27. I think Robert Parry or Robert Knight and Dennis Bernstein did the work
she just handled the cleanup. NPR is VOA. Her sorry ass is absolutely (tied with Mona Charen as) the worst case of what is wrong with the CIA in the media.

20. Georgetown dinner parties ...
are SHOCKED at the reception F911 is getting.

Moore is right, its a red state movie, and blue state elites like Cokie don't get it.

embarrassed over her stupidity to show her face on TV anymore.

13. You wish
I wish too. But it doesn't seem to happen that way. Judith Miller of the NY TIMES was proven incredibly wrong, but she still shows up on TV as an "expert." Numerous other pundits were drastically wrong about the case for war. Any consequences? Nope. They're all still on the tube as if nothing ever happened.

3. A more complete review of "This Week" program. Others did not agree
with her and Brooks.
REALLY, AT THIS MOMENT F/911 can only help.
AND THIS ELECTION, AT THIS POINT IN TIME, if for Kerry/Edwards to lose.

I do monitor here though to see what people say.

It at least keeps my anger under control by not watching, and prevents me from breaking my TV set

12. Cokie has had to much radiation and/or chemo
Being a cancer survivor I understand what this does to the human body. Cokie seems to have lost to many healthy brain cells from her cancer treatments and they don't seem to have been replenished.

I just figured that her ego and greed had over powered her and blinded her to her own faults. You are right of course, chemo often effects some people's reasoning skills and some peoples memory. They are studying this at some hospitals and call it "chemo brain". Thanks for the insight.

:toast: Congratulations on your success as a survivor.

10. Didn't Matthews get her to admit she hasn't seen it yet?
And his comment about what he thought before seeing F/911 and how it changed after seeing it seemed to be a powerful endorsement of the movie.

16. Cokie hasn't seen it? "despitus abdicare scrutinium"
From some long-forgotten DU scholar:

"despitus abdicare scrutinium"
<1>, contempt before examination.

Latin for: a contemptible person who renounces something before making an honest search or examination.

11. same song different verse
No matter what we say and how we say it, no matter how true it is, no matter what we do, the right wing will always say it will cost Dem X the election.

Are they trying to discourage us with the fallacy of inevitiability so we stay home and don't vote?

The only thing that WILL cost us the election is to hide in a hole and say nothing at all.

19. Since this show is a repeat and a thread like this was discussed last
night, I will change the channel - thanks!

BTW, anyone who comments on F-911 without seeing it is an utter moron and should be ignored. Cokie is trying to become a "stateman" sort of person in her old age - she will learn a hard lesson about commenting on stuff she hasn't even seen. Email her, tell her she is an idiot.

28. Oh yes she does. she understand all us american millionaires quite well.
my 74 year old dad finally saw F911. he worked 42 years in a car factory. he told me that in all his years never, ever before had he been to a film where as it ended the film got a standing ovation.

he was damned impressed and called moore a genius for what he showed and how he showed it.

i trust my dad a hell of a lot more about "real" americans than a millionaire talking head like roberts, who has become little more than a prime example of comfort breeding uncaring.

is A-OK eh, Cokie?

Limbaugh who Bush described as a "great American" can lie and demonize all Democrats on a daily basis, but Michael Moore's documentary will sink Kerry?

:grr:

I think she was babbeling again, but I thought Chris did a decent job when he said, that was what he thought BEFORE he saw the movie. I suppose that means he changed his mind?

She is a died in the wool Conservative. I'll always remember Newt Gingrich won the house with his hate campaign. Roberts thought it was great because there "would be more bald men in Congress". (really)
