Scrapped Florida Voter Roll DID NOT Include Hispanic Repug Felons

Florida elections officials said Saturday they will not use a disputed list that was designed to keep felons from voting, acknowledging a flaw that could have allowed convicted Hispanic felons to cast ballots in November.

The glitch in a state that President Bush won by just 537 votes could have been significant - because of the state's sizable Cuban population, Hispanics in Florida have tended to vote Republican more than Hispanics nationally. The media continues to refuse to connect the dots and actually look for the real reasons these things happen.

Gov. Jeb says "Not including Hispanic felons that may be voters on the list ... was an oversight and a mistake, and we accept responsibility and that's why we're pulling it back."

4. The stories I saw had JEBtm blaming incompatible databases

that begs the question when purging felons WHY WERE THEY EVEN CONCERNED WITH RACE AT ALL...

That betrays their intentions right there... They were ACTIVELY considering race in their database.

7. There is no excuse for this type of "flaw"

When you are talking about a fundamental RIGHT, to cast a ballot, there is NO excuse for this type of sloppy programming "mistake". Are we to believe that there was no testing of this software? No random verification of the results?

I truly think it was intentional.
