Mixed reaction in Freeperland (re: postponing elections)
In case you were wondering what the ones on the wrong side of the tracks were thinking. Some responses may surprise. Others, well...

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1169252/posts

Get out! We would never postpone elections. It would be to give in to the terrorists and we aren't about to do that. AND, the conspiracy theorists and leftists would cause such a revolt the Civil War would look like a tea party.

---------------------------

Why postpone? How about doing like the Iraqi handover, and move it up a couple of days...
;o)

---------------------------

Postpone the election?

No way!

---------------------------

What a non story. There is no way congress is going to legislate something as tricky as when to postpone an election in the few months left before November.

---------------------------

Wait a second. I thought Iraq and Saddam were the culprits behind out terrorism problem. But Saddam's in jail and his party is broken up. Could it be that those of us who said Al Quada should be our focus - - finish the job in Afghanistand and Pakistan and get Osama before getting diverted to Iraq - - - might have been right all along? Saddam's in jail - but we're still scared in the Homeland. Hmmm. Maybe the Iraq war was a wasteful diversion after all.

---------------------------

Another bogus story to stir up the Dem conspiracy nuts. How about if we move the elections up to mess up the terrorists plans?

10. Maybe the Freeps are onto something here (moving up the elections)
The Louisiana runoff elections on Saturday the last couple years have gone well. Maybe people who can't get time off from work to vote on a Tuesday (or make the excuse of being too tired afterwards) would show up if they could vote on the weekend.

Unfortunately, it would be just like the BCE to implement this scenario, but only advertise the change on FAUX News.

11. Here's a Freep who knows the truth...
...she just doesn't KNOW she knows it yet.....

Newsweak makes it sound like the President is some kind of mad dictator trying to circumvent the electoral process.

Yep, that's about it.
