Welcome to www.christianvotes.com

Each election year, Christians are offered the opportunity to make their voices heard. When the Christian votes, he or she is allowed the chance to set the moral tone for the future of local, state, and national leadership. It is critical that Christians fulfill their biblical obligation and take advantage of their right to vote.

Join the MillionVotes Campaign!

A team of one million registered Christian voters could change our nation this year! That’s why the Center for Reclaiming America has launched MillionVotes.com, an effort to identify and equip one million registered Christian voters who will pray and vote in this year’s election.

3. Before I judge these guys as yahoo using the religion to further their own
sick agenda, I want to see proof it. So far I haven't found anything on this site that points to saying "vote for Bush otherwise thee go to hell!" or anything like that.

The priest at my church (Catholic) has told us that it is our duty to vote, but he never preaches as to who or what we have to vote for.

Just vote and that's it. Vote for who you think will help the less fortunate more, vote for who best represents your views ect, that's the only preaching I've heard.

5. Your priest might not preach bias, but the right wing preachers do....
Pat Robertson's "Christian" Coalition has published "voter guides" for years which are widely circulated in right wing churches. The publications claim to be completely non-partisan, but they always seem to favor the Republican candidates. Go figure :eyes:

6. I agree it's just that
Maybe it's because this site isn't done yet, but I browsed through the site and I don't see any sort of rw message...YET.

I just try to not be like the right in that I don't judge it to a point until it gives me reason to.

However I'd place a medium bet that when the site is really up and running we're sure to see the "vote for Bush or go to hell" messages, but I won't call it till I see it.

4. What a bizarre website

Click on something and it either goes nowhere - like an invitation to check back in October for a voter's guide if you click on "About the Candidates" or the broken link that comes up when you click on "The Cultural Mandate" under "Biblical Reasons to Vote" - or ends in simplistic statements such the following, under "Election & Voting Terms to Know":

republican party: One of the two primary parties of the United States; organizes in 1854 to oppose the expansion of slavery.

democratic party: One of the two primary political parties of the United States, owing its origin to a split in the Democratic-Republican Party under Andrew Jackson in 1828.

Damn, I want to know more about that Republican party! It sounds like a good thing.
