There is no motive for the CIA to give false reasons to go to war in Iraq
What reason would George Tenet have to give false information?
And why don't the investigators see the obvious: the Bush Administration's incredible oil connections?

1. GEOGRAPHICS:
* Saudi Arabia – Largest oil reserve in the world
* Iraq – Second largest oil reserve in the world
* Texas (Bush Country) – largest oil reserve in US

2. THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION
* The Chimp – prior oil executive
* Cheney – prior oil executive
* Condi Rice – prior oil executive (Board of Directors for Chevron for about 10 years and now has giant oil tanker named after her) Source: San Francisco Chronicle, Thursday, April 5, 2001
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2001/04/05/MN222557.DTL

3. ENRON SCANDAL
* Kenneth Lay – Bush’s top campaign contributor in 2000
* Then the White House refused to release thousands of pages of documents on how Enron shaped its energy policies to Congressional investigators.
* The video that mysteriously disappeared – someone claims he saw a video on TV with Bush, Jr. and Bush, Sr. attending an Enron mtg proving they knew about Enron Stock about to fall before it happened or possible insider trading. Then this video was never heard of again. DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS VIDEO??
* The only man who was going to talk regarding Enron suddenly and mysteriously “commits suicide” and the Houston police (Bush Country) refuse to release the suicide note.

4. HALLIBURTON SCANDAL
* Dick Cheney was CEO of Halliburton before becoming Vice President
* Accounting practices are suspected to be similar to Enron while Cheney was CEO.
* Given a no bid contract in Iraq and got in there right after George W. declared victory

5. IRAQ WAR
* Two Republicans working inside the Bush Adm. reveal Bush’s obsession about going to war in Iraq.even before 9/11 (Richard Clark and Paul O’Neal)
* Why was Saddan Hussien’s capture given precedent over Bin Laden’s?? Much more money was spent in the Iraq war than in Al Queda network. But of course, not much oil in Afghanstan?

Can anyone think of more connections?

1. The legal case
Incredibly strong circumstantial evidence that the info used was vetted by the WH after much browbeating of the CIA by them. That is The Issue since the criminal intent of the admin is what's important (ie, what did they know and when did they know it). That's called mens rea in criminal law. There's certainly enough evidence to commence impeachment proceedings, IF, we had a democratic party majority in either branch of congress. The fact that repubs won't authorize it only means that the foxes are in charge of the henhouse and we put them there. Oh yeah, and there is no recourse until the government re-achieves some balance between the parties. America has forgotten why a tri-partite government was orginally conceived and is now paying for it.

But hey, what do you expect in a nation where reading is passe, The Simpsons are the #1 TV show, and 40% of the country still believes in a strong link between Iraq and 9/11 long after everybody has already said it never existed.

The problem is us.

2. Good point, there is no apparent motive for the CIA
to want a war, and a glaringly obvious motives for Bu$h and the PNAC neocons to go to war - oil and world domination.

4. Everyone here knew it was a lie. We wrote our congressmen
and told them that and the news media. We had tons of proof from England and other news agencies. So how in the world did our elected leaders do what they did? I hear the Democrats complain that the vote was before the full documentation from the CIA was finished and sent to congress. BULL. Now everyone is plaming the CIA! Well, why was Valerie Plume outed when her husband came back from Nigeria and said the documents were a fake?

Again I ask, where the hell are the Democrats? There were eight of them on that committee? How could they put the entire blame on the CIA?

I remember that Bushco was so upset with the lack of real hard evidence from the CIA that he had a new department in the DOD established to find proof. What do our politicans do all day? They don't read bills. Apparently they don't read internet sites like this? I'm at a loose as to why we are paying these clowns to destroy this country.

5. Isn't it obvious?
90% of the Dems in Congress voted for the blank check for BushCo to invade Iraq because they were either for the invasion &/or felt pressure in lue of 911 to vote for the green light. I suspect that most felt it was going to be a fairly easy take over and didn't think too much about the aftermath. Now most Dems in Congress know it was a huge mistake but still support "staying the course" even though it is becoming obvious the Iraq mission will eventually be a failure if the mission goal is "Democracy" for Iraq. Hell, Amerika is not a "Democracy". It is a Plutocracy, dominated by a radical Right Wing Cabal and complicit Mass Media.
