Market research says F911 audiences crave info on 'issues and candidates'. Who

will supply that info? Is there already a website that would meet the information needs of less politically sophisticated F911 viewers? Does the F911 audience know about it?

Credible market research by a psychology professor and Fortune 500 consultant has found that more than 70 percent of those who've seen "Fahrenheit 911" agree with the following statement:

"As a result of seeing Fahrenheit 911, I am more likely to seek out additional information on the issues and candidates.

Ideally, the film itself would drive traffic to websites with information on issues and candidates. Ideally also there would be one VERY SIMPLE website so geared to the specific interests and needs of F911 viewers that millions will want to get there, and they will find what they are looking for there.

I have three questions:

(1) Does such a website already exist?

(2) If not, what should such a website include?

The same market research shows that items on the list for (2) ought to include SIMPLIFIED voter registration information and contact info for help in voting in all 50 states and in the military here and overseas. HALF of those who'd seen F911 said,

"As a result of seeing Fahrenheit 911 I am more likely to vote in the next presidential election "

(3) Are people already working on reaching those who've seen F911 and enabling them to be more politically active? Are they using available market research results wisely?

If they'd done their job from day one, we wouldn't have to be lighting candles. But "reporters" chose to whore for Bush by lying about Al Gore and never telling the the truth about George2.

Then someone like Michael Moore lights a candle (more like a bonfire) and sheds much-needed light on the Bush lies and secrecy. Prior to "F911" many Americans suspected something was awry in the White House, but are now convinced of it and want more information.

20. Are some in the media now making more of an effort to provide

real news? One of the "talking heads" I've heard on TV since
Friday (maybe on PBS's 'Washington Week' or NBC's 'Chris Mathews'--I forget exactly who) noted that the popularity of F911 is very bad feedback for the media. Maybe they'll followup David Van Nuys's market research with larger and more carefully-designed studies of their own.

I can think of very few real news reporters on TV. My favorite is Jack Germond of NBC. He's a throwback to the "All the President's Men" era, rather than the stenographers and Teleprompter readers who dominate the airwaves now.

17. Do you like the TTITLES Buzzflash gives to stories? I agree the content is great!

People I've sent to buzzflash.com generally ask me, "Don't you think there's too much pure propaganda there"? I've learned to take buzzflash retitling of stories with several grains of salt, but newbies tend to either totally believe or totally reject what they read. Buzzflash has saved me many many hours of hunting for real news on my own, which today is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I like it better than any other site for straight news because there's no cutesie headlines like Buzzflash, no opinions, no clutter. Well the threads, but not so much the original news posts. You get all the details of what the Bushies are up to and usually plenty of basic national and international news too.

I like the way the new homepage slows things down. If people who've never seen real news before just stayed on the new DU homepage, they'd get a LOT. I myself like the filtering of stories by DUers' "nominations". There's just too much JUNK posted in the forums.
