I think it's time to buy a gun!
The election should NOT be postponed but if the Neocons win, a new date MUST be set in stone if this law is passed. The Postponed date MUST BE 1 week after the election and NO LATER!

Anything more will give these phucquers TOO MUCH POWER!

Wait, I thought Bush was winning the war on terror? If so, why the phucque are terrorist about to change our democracy and bring us to our knees by an election postponement?

Are they thinking about this in England?

I think it's time to buy a gun because I predict anarchy and possible civil war in this country if the election is postponed.

1. I'm in the process of writing a book ...
... and I've seriously been thinking about adding a chapter on the necessity of a paradigm shift in liberal thinking about gun ownership.

3. I was once very anti-gun....
but realized I don't want only the gobment with them.
still not crazy about guns, but i see the light.
alternative is making yourselves some hefty cudgels like lead filled baseball bats with barb wire. keep 'em by your beds and doors.

Anytime's a good time to buy a gun.
Buy two or three. A handgun, a rifle, and a shotgun. Then you will be prepared for any eventuality.

Don't forget lots of bullets!

Buy a baseball bat and a switchblade, too. It may get ugly.

2. No new date is necessary
The 1944 vote was not postponed during WWII. And this terrorist problem is not a world war. It's a religious skirmish not worthy of even discussing changing the election date.

Bush is gone Nov 2nd....PERIOD!

7. That's right.
There should be no postponement. There is no reason.

6. I am not sure
that Rove will have the military on his side. He'll send the Freepers out after us (a militia).

13. They won't, not for long
However, it'll take a massive civilian uprising before the military acts. There's nothing like having to slaughter thousands of their friends and neighbors to make military automatons start to disobey their orders from the ruling class.

10. Well, if you live in NJ
You need to start the process ASAP. It takes somewhere around three months to get a firearms ID card. This will allow you to purchase a rifle or shotgun or BB gun. Once you have the ID card it will take another two to three months to buy a handgun.

Good luck

11. If Bush wins or the elections are canceled get ready for anarchy
America is about to implode on this course shrub has sent us. Partisianship is downright nasty and ideological (both sides!) and people will be ready to fight.

I'm going to get a gun asap if one of the two things mentioned in the subject line happen. I hope DUers protect themselves from right wing nazis and extremists who are already forming militias.

12. Forget a gun. I want a rocket launcher.
Here comes the helicopter -- second time today
Everybody scatters and hopes it goes away
How many kids they've murdered only God can say
If I had a rocket launcher...I'd make somebody pay

I don't believe in guarded borders and I don't believe in hate
I don't believe in generals or their stinking torture states
And when I talk with the survivors of things too sickening to relate
If I had a rocket launcher...I would retaliate

On the Rio Lacantun, one hundred thousand wait
To fall down from starvation -- or some less humane fate
Cry for guatemala, with a corpse in every gate
If I had a rocket launcher...I would not hesitate

I want to raise every voice -- at least I've got to try
Every time I think about it water rises to my eyes.
Situation desperate, echoes of the victims cry
If I had a rocket launcher...Some son of a bitch would die

14. its funny, i just went to the store to buy a new Ruger .357 today. I felt
that given the possibility of rioting/anarchy, it might be nice to have something big to add to my arsenal.

16. A one week limit is a bad idea
Probably worse than a month delay. Just think about it, a MIHOP occurs on election day and elections are delayed a week. That entire week Bush gets to act "presidential" on TV, while Kerry doesn't get to say squat. Polling comes out a few days later saying Bush's numbers are rising fast. One week later Bush is miraculously ahead in all national polls. Bush wins, with no BBV.

The election must not be delayed. Period.

I HATE guns, but have recently thought about buying one just in case. I'm scaring myself a bit.
