No US presidential election has ever been postponed.
Abraham Lincoln was urged by some aides to suspend the election of 1864 - during the US Civil War - but despite the expectation that he would lose, he refused.

"The election is a necessity," Lincoln said. "We cannot have a free government without elections; and if the rebellion could force us to forgo, or postpone, a national election, it might fairly claim to have already conquered us."

This snip is from a BBC article. It is quite remarkable how the ruling junta has already got us talking about this possibility like it should even be considered.

Remarkable.

1. Since the repukes claim to be the "Party of Abe Lincoln"
Maybe they should do what he did. Then they could have more of a claim to the Lincoln legacy than they do now. Not much, but a little.

2. Why bother with the formality of elections anymore?
If God speaks to the Emporer, who are we to question supporting God's chosen?

4. I'll tell ya Walt, I no longer feel like its enough to be a "participant"
in this system. Its time to re-build the damn thing. In order for there to be re-birth, there must be death.

In the words of Col. Jessup "All you managed to do today is weaken a country"
He has now given terrorists a reason, and a damn good one at that!
If elections are canceled, terrorists have taken away the ONE thing that sets America apart from everybody else- the peoples right to choose their own leader.
And this asshole has made it possible!
