we must STOP NOW any idea or thought or planning of cancelling the elections...and shame those who are doing the planning for the cancellation of the elections....NO FUNDING for their efforts...call/write/email your Congress reps...DEMAND that NO MONEY be spent for planning the cancellation of elections and remind them strongly:

constitution .then we should by all means move this up....the faster bush is out the better..we don't need to wait until Nov...which by now if the terrorists didn't know we will postpone our democratic elections because of them.....this is playing into their hand...which I doubt is very much the case.

ask the masses if bush is such a great"war resident" and the world is safer.then its a contradiction to say WE FEAR they will attack us in NOV......did he get a e-mail from the terrorists?........the country also would be safer if all our troops and monies were not sent to Iraq....and spent to defend our borders.....
Alot of our first responders were called up for active duty...as with the National Guard....this country "safer" I say "HELL NO"

it would prove that they cancelled elections. It would be a very suspicious thing but suspicious and proof are two very different things. It might convince you that MIHOP is true but it certainly does not prove it.

We live in a society that values innocent until proven guilty and the burden of proof is something that is very hard to bear and sometimes it is incovenient but it is a very important par tof what makes this country great. It's too bad Ashcroft doesnt think proof is very important and that the conspiracy laws exist because they turn the burden of proof into nothing more than hearsay and supposition.

7. What if terrorists struck Nov. 2?

Regardless of whether it's LIHOP or not ...

What if several major urban centers (and let's say they're Democrat-heavy) were hit by terrorists ON THE MORNING OF NOV. 2? What if the Bank of America Bldg. (or Golden Gate Bridge), the Empire State Building, the Capitol Building, the Sears Tower and some big oil company bldg in Texas were all hit ON THE MORNING OF NOV. 2?

Could there really be a fair election that day? Those major cities themselves could never hold elections with entire cities shut down. Plus, the rest of the country would hole up in their homes as they did on Sept. 11. Remember, they postponed the mayoral election for a short time in New York City, since they were supposed to vote on Sept. 11 and really couldn't.

Now, if the attack took place a week before that, sure, you could get it together to have an election.

What does everyone else think about a Nov. 2 attack scenario? Don't you think a delay of NO MORE THAN A WEEK OR TWO could work in that case? Sickening that we really have to contemplate such a scenario in advance, but, hey. We live in a sick world (and, with the present admin., a sick country).

6. Want a simple soution that won't fail whether attacked or not?

For this election and subsequent elections,use absentee ballots.
You don't have to leave home to go vote, you can vote prior to 11-02, and you know it will be hand-counted.

Of course bush doesn''t suggest this, his only recourse (again supports my arguements that people revert to what they are geared to do when stressed) is to cancel the election. like when the Supreme Court stopped the florida count when bush saw he was losing.

Bush stopped the vote in the UN for the war resopution because he only had three of 15 nations on the security council who would vote for war.

When Bush lost the medicare vote; Republicans kept the vote going for over 3 hours threatening and bribing congressmen to change their votes.

so, of course they want to postphone (stop the vote) an election, Bush is knee-deep in shit and his kneejerk reaction is consistent with past practices.
they do not care for Democracy and their INTENTIONS prove it.
