Does anyone here remember when the elder Bush after shaking
hands with Paul Wellstone in a White House receiving line called him a prick or a little shit (something derogatory)? I am trying to recall this because I still cannot get over the fact Paul Wellstone and Mel Carnahan died in small plane accidents within a short time of each other. This is another one of those coincidences that seem to happen at frequent intervals with this administration.

1. Poppy said..
"Who is this chickenshit?" when he saw Paul (don't know if he actually met him face-to-face at that point).

Classy, that Bush family.

4. And Cheney said
"If you vote against the war in Iraq, the Bush administration will do whatever is necessary to get you. There will be severe ramifications for you and the state of Minnesota."

At a meeting full of war veterans in Willmar, Minn., days before his death, Wellstone told attendees that Cheney told him, "If you vote against the war in Iraq, the Bush administration will do whatever is necessary to get you. There will be severe ramifications for you and the state of Minnesota."

Wellstone cast his vote for his conscience and against the Iraq measure, the lone Democrat involved in a tough 2002 election campaign to do so. And a few weeks later on Oct. 25, as he appeared to be winning his re-election bid, Wellstone, his wife, Sheila, his daughter, Marcia Markuson, three campaign staffers, and two pilots died in a plane crash in Minnesota.

Talk about "severe ramifications."

Regimes kill. Even American regimes. And especially this one.

5. Makes me wonder...
What kind of protection do Kerry and Edwards have? This corrupt, evil, unbelievably ugly administration scares the heck outa me. Those who pray, pray for Kerry/Edwards safety. And the rest of us, while we're at it!

6. Oh that picture is so sad...
Find me one Republican politician who would be grieved half as much.

Thanks for that quote, MB. Time for another layer of tinfoil for me. Republican bastards.

7. Makes me think that Bush the Elder, Cheney and Rumsfeld took
over where J.Edgar left off.
