7/12/04 - Rasmussen Poll: Kerry 48% Bush 44%
Senator Kerry now leads President Bush in the Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll, 48% to 44%. Today's results reflect a 5 point net gain for the Democrats since John Edwards was named as Kerry's running mate.

3. Powell is one of the liars
that's a no go. McCain is their only chance. And I think he would say no anyway.

5. I disagree. Powell would ensure a Bush win.

He's not perceived as one of the liars. Even I, a Democrat, do not think he was.

I think he was out of the loop, and he was duped along w/the rest of us. For example, the information he was given to give to the U.N.---he thought it was correct information. He didn't know the source. It turns out that the source was a Chalabi relative, and it was incorrect. I do not believe that Powell knew that. He says convincely that he did not know the source or that the information was incorrect. He seemed genuinely upset about it (to the extent that he ever shows feelings). I believe him.

Powell is known for his integrity. Next to McCain, he's one of the most respected politians in the country.

McCain will NEVER be a Vice President, esp. with George Bush, who he personally dislikes, as well as has policy differences with.

6. Too bad voters vote the top of the ticket
and again, for Bush to dump Cheney would be his biggest flip flop yet.
And I disagree that Powell is any sort of paragon of integrity.

7. Powell's integrity is a media myth
Was he showing his integrity when he helped cover up the My Lai massacre? When he participated in the Iran-Contra stonewall? Maybe when he underhandedly sabotaged Clinton on the gays in the military issue?

4. Tracking shows Kerry solidifying support
Looks like he is establishing a higher and higher "low threshold of support".
This is great!

8. Don't get too excited,
Don't get too excited yet, it's a long way till November. And most voters don't pay attention till after Labor Day!
