Bayh refusing to say that the terrorist warnings are political (CNN)
"There are real reasons to be concerned, but not to panic." Reasons for vigilance this time. "I'm disinclined to say that it had anything to do with politics."

2. While I am firmly convinced that Bush is using these warnings for
political gain, there may come a time in the future when a warning is warranted and if a prominent politician states clearly that these warnings are bunk, he runs two risks:

1.) ruining his career when the warning turns out to be true.

2.) endangering the lives of people who now do not take the warnings seriously.

This is the very reason that these warnings are such a huge issue that everyone is skirting around. How dare this administration use this for political gain? I'm not afraid of terrorists in any way shape or form (I'm much more frightened of heart disease or cancer for example) but terrorism is a fact of life and when the threat is real it must be take seriously. When it is not, to use it as a political tool is the lowest form of tyranny out there.

I don't fall Bayh for this because it puts him in a very difficult position. Rather I fault this administration for putting us in a position where we are forced to question their motive and intent even on something so important.

5. Sorry. Bayh just put his career ahead of the American people.
As have most of them. Not having the guts to call a spade a bloody shovel is killing us.

FIND A WAY TO SAY BUSH IS A MANIPULATIVE LIAR AND USER. Let George try and prove it ain't true.

4. We need to insist that the election happens on November 2.
If they don't, we may never get him out of there.

6. Bayh is as Republican disguised as a Democrat.
I can't imagine why his name was even mentioned in the contest for VP.
